Chapter Four

OK before I start Diamond is with ray and Jessica was with chresanto and she's the secret African girl. I had to say that because for some reason I keep getting the two mixed up for some unknown reason so diamond is with ray and jess was with chres.

Ruby pov

I woke up to the sound of someone beating on my door. I grumbled to myself and trotted down the stairs.

Today was my sleep in day too and it's only twelve.

I opened the door to see Camryn standing there, tapping her foot. "I've been out here for the past twenty minutes and now you wake up?" She asked while pushing me aside and headed for my kitchen, "Who's that?" Grumbled Lanyce as she sat up from the couch.

"You know I'm a deep sleeper,but why are you here so early?" I asked while patting down my matted hair, but Camryn ignored me. "Well I'm up now." Mumbled Lanyce as she slowly stood up, scratching her head.

I followed Cam all the way to the kitchen and leaned against the counter as she started typing away.

"Can I use your laptop Ruby? Sure ya can Cam, thanks for asking." I said aloud and Cam rolled her eyes, but kept typing.

"I hope this is important enough to wake me up." Groaned Lanyce and I nodded in agreement. "Ima show you something you guys probably didn't know after all these years."Camryn started,"Remember I said I know ray from somewhere?" Cam asked, "Um yeah in the locker room, but your coach came." I stated, "Well this is where I remember him from." Said Cam as she clicked enter.

Wikipedia popped up and in bold letters it had, Mindless Behavior, I turned to Kierra with a confused face, "Keep reading!" She whined and I rolled my eyes and kept reading.

Mindless Behavior has been together since the end of their high school year (2014) and ended the group this year (May 3, 2019), That was on my birthday too.

Before I could react Cam went ahead and clicked the link and a picture popped up of, Chres,Ray,Jacob,Craig, and Elijah all standing there with an of guard picture, smiling.

"Wait I think I remember Lanyce mentioning this group a couple years back but I was barely paying attention." I admitted. "Gee thanks for listening to me." Lanyce rolled her eyes.

"Anyways it doesn't matter." I shrugged and poured myself a glass of orange juice.

"Your acting like you do." Snickered Camryn as she closed the laptop and rested her head on her hands, while Lanyce just giggled.

I rolled my eyes and acted as if I didn't hear them.

"She's got a new man now. Jacob, remember? The singer she tries to act like she doesn't like." Raised her voice, making sure I heard her.

"For the millionth time he's just a friend." I stated firmly and the both of them giggled like little kids.

"Sure you don't, and I can fly to never land." Cam said sarcastically while rolling her eyes.

Turned around with Nyce nowhere in sight.

"I forgot I got work later this afternoon!" She yelled as she grabbed her things and passed us to go to the bathroom, "I can't be late for work on the first day! What should I wear?" She blurted out to us as she ran back to us, holding a knee lengthed, pink floral dress that flared out like a smile, and a navy blue suit with a flared yellow blouse.

She likes bright colors I guess.

"The floral one." Me and Cam said in union, and Nyce nodded her head and ran off back to the bathroom.

"What you doing later?" I asked Cam as she sat back down at the counter and I sat on the edge. "I got the day off and I need to go to the mall, you can tag along if you like." Camryn suggested and I nodded.

Five minutes later Lanyce came running out, almost twisting her ankle as she wobbled with her heels, but gained her balance.

She had her dress on with white heels that was about two inches high. She looked to be about 6'3, but I was used to her height and gave no real attention to it. She had her hair up in a tight bun and had a light, pale lipstick on. She looked very pretty.

"I'm cutting my hair later today. I can't manage this much." She sighed then started mumbling to herself as she packed everything back in her bag.

She always mumbled when she was nervous or worried.

"You'll be fine." I reassured her and her bright smile came back, "I'm not worried about me, I'm more worried about those kids when I walk in." She gave an innocent smile then walked towards the door.

Cam looked at me shocked and confused, but I just shrugged.

"She's meaner than she looks." I admitted with a chuckle.

We heard a slam at the door, notifying that she left.

Off to the mall I guess.

Later On

Me and Cam was walking around the mall, trying to stay hidden from everyone else as we kept our sunglasses on.

Cam walked into Forever 21 while I sat at the little lounge area on the little love seat by myself.

I felt a tap on my left shoulder and turned to find nobody there, but once I turned back Jacob was sitting next to me with a goofy smile on.

"How you get past that crowd without being noticed?" I questioned with a chuckle as I took my shades off

"Same way you did."

"Staying in the shadows?" I asked jokingly and he nodded, "Exactly." We both let out a soft laugh, then he took his shades off also.

"Good thing I've bumped into you, I been meaning to ask you something." He scratched the back of his head and I stared, waiting.

"You wanna go to dinner with me tomorrow?" He asked. I tensed up, almost completely froze, about to deny his request, but noticed Cam behind him nodding her head wildly and mouthing 'Yes!'

I nodded my head, "Sure." Almost smacking my own self, but he gave his small, sweet smile; I couldn't take it back now.

"See you tomorrow at seven?" It was more of a statement, but I nodded in agreement and waved goodbye to him as he left.

When he rose from his seat and passed Camryn I noticed the both of them giving a low clap, then Camryn walked over to me as if she didn't know what happened.

"You're welcome." She peeped lightly with a huge smile.

"You're welcome?" I questioned as we started walking.

"If it wasn't for me nodding my head you would've froze up, and either made things awkward or said no in panic. On that note you're welcome."

I rolled my eyes, "No I wouldn't.", I sighed, "Why did you force me into this?" I whined, rubbing my forehead.

"Because." She started, "He likes you for you, and that only comes every once in a while." Her smile turned to a serious stare up ahead. She really meant it.
