Ruby POV

I woke up on the sofa with my body halfway off the thing. I sat up and nearly kicked Cam in the head since she was sleeping on the floor right under me.

I rubbed my eyes and looked around for Nyce, but couldn't find her anywhere so I went to the kitchen to have something to eat.

On the counter was a note, Had work. -Nyce

I looked at my laptop and saw it was 11:45, then grabbed a water bottle.

"Camryn! Get ya ass up! It's almost 12 pm!" I yelled from the kitchen and heard a groan.

"Don't you got practice or something? Seems like you've been here forever." I complained and she scratched her head.

"Uh. I think s- Oh wait I do, hmm I think it starts soon." She kept talking, but I was in deep thought, starring intensely at the counter.

Why would you listen to Diamond, the gold digging slut out of everyone else including your mother?

But that story she told me was a little intense. What if she made it up herself just to cover up her lies.

Can I believe anybody says?

Can I trust a single person?

Its turning into highschool all over again.

I can't go through with that. I can't rebuild another time.

Oh my god its gonna end up the same with Jacob. He's gonna find a prettier light skin and leave me, forgetting everything we had. Or what if this is all a part of Jessica's plan? What if he's in cahoots with her and doing everything she says?

No, he can't. He promised me he wouldn't do anything Ray or Chres ever done...
