Chapter Six *Teaser*

*Chresanto pov*

I woke up as usual but for the first time in a long time I woke up happy but something just didn't feel right. . .

I drug my feet over to the kitchen and was scared for a second when I saw my mom just sitting there petting my dog, botchie.

I flinched back,"Remind me to get a new lock." then I went to the fridge, "Why are you here? We haven't seen each other in over three months."

"I got bored. So I decided to pay my baby a visit." She stared rocking back and forward in her chair, chewing her tongue.

"You look different." She sat up as she squinted her eyes.

I closed the fridge, putting the milk on the counter, "I look the same.", I rolled my eyes and went to the pantry.

"No. . . it's something. I can't put my finger on." She put her hand across her mouth, "Oh! You gotten darker."

She can't talk, she's brown skinned...

"But you're brown skinned..."

"You noticed! I've been putting on that lighting lotion for the past month and made sure not to wear black so I won't bring extra sunlight, oh and I've kept and umbrella with me so when I do go outside, which is rare, I won't get any darke-(gco)"

"What's wrong with being dark?"

"Whatchu mean?" Her face grew this kind of playful serious to it.

"All my life whenever I did see you, you always talked about how being lightskin was best and now I realized that's not true...you filled my head with bullshit and I hurt some people's feelings over something they can't even help. . ." She was just starring in awe.

That's what's been missing...I haven't been really happy in years...that dream makes since now...

I turned to my mom who was still in shock with a real smile on my face, "Get out.", she went from shocked to a playful expression, "Who are you talking to?"

"You! you was never in my life and when you was you only brought shit with you so bye."

Her face went blank as she headed for the door, she was furious, not even looking back as I closed the door behindd her.

also I'm making a new story that's gonna be published soon that's an abuse story but with prince instead off roc *unike almost all the other abuse stories* and theres aa lil twist to it. Ima tell yall when I publish since I think this kind of audience will like it a lot.
