I tapped my pencil impatiently and waited for the bell to ring, signaling lunch to start. I have been stuck in this horrid room for the past 3 and 1/2 hours. I was growing impatient. It was quiet, it stank of water residue, and the teacher glared at me, the only student here. I sighed again and looked down at my work, I had finished 30 minutes ago, but Ms. Haze, the ISS teacher, had yelled at me for trying to read my book. I glared at the paper.

Glare.

Tap.

Glare.

Tap.

Glare.

Tap.

Glare.

Ta-*crack*- a ruler smacked down on my desk.

"Miss Juda, if you would please stop that annoying tapping. Your work needs to be finished." She said sternly leaning close to me. I tried to hide my irritation and looked her in the eye.

"Yes, ma'am, I'm sure my three page essay has yet to be finished. Let me just see how many pages I have written, 1-2-3, oh. And how many drafts? 1-2-3-4. I think my work is done, unless you think I need to write another page on this?" I said with a fake smile and sickly sweet voice. Her face was red and she was furious.

"N-CRINNNNNNNNGGGGGGG-the bell cut her off. I grabbed my book bag and ran, I didn't care if I left my work there, I would be back right after lunch.

I sighed stepping out of the room and into the crowded hallway. I pushed myself through the thick crowd and tried to get to the cafeteria in one piece. I was pushed and shoved until I finally made it. I didn't even bother getting food, there was no money in my account. I sat at a table in the back corner and waited for everyone to settle down. A nerdy freshmen tried to sit by me. I glared at him and he hurried off. I sighed, why must my life suck? I looked like one of those emo girls, but I never talk to them though, even they don't like me. Sometimes I think that Jamey even talks to me is because he pities me. His dad died the year before my dad left. He noticed me crying that day and asked me what was wrong, I told him, sniffling and crying like a baby. He said he understood and said he would be my friend forever.

Speaking of the devil, he just walked in. Surrounded by girls, always. They sat by him at a table. I guess he didn't see me. We usually sit together at lunch, everyday. I looked down at my hands. I looked around looking all the different groups. You got your jocks, the bimbo barbies, all at one table, or two tables together. Your nerds, the geeks, bubble smarties, all at one table. Your emos, your skaters, your Goths, and your wolf packs, all skatereds around the school. And of course your loners. High school musical without the music, nope, more like Jennifer's Body, but all the barbies are Jennifer and there is no Needy in their group.

I grabbed a bottle of water out of my bag and took a swig waiting for my first day back at hell to end. I sighed wishing I was at mine and Jamey's hide out. It was an abandoned shed in the woods by his house. We usually just hanged there, no one else was aloud. Sure his mom and step dad knew about it, but they never  went in and they knew we weren't stupid enough to try anything. They say we are like bro and sis, well they use to say that, but they havn't said anything this summer.

CRINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG I sighed picking up my bag walking through the crowd. I bumped into Jamey by accident. My bag fell and the contents dumped out.

"Crap." I muttered and bent down to pick it up. He also bent to pick it up.

"Sorry." I said stuffing stuff in  my bag.

"Uh, yeah." He said.

"Come on, J, let the freak clean up her own mess." I brunette snarled at me. She had on a short pink skirt and a skin tight white shirt that showed her pink bra and she wore pink stilettos. I glared at her through my bangs. She crossed her arms making her breast look bigger.
