Lorraine could tell that he was in love with her by the look in his eyes, the way he would invite her to get coffee, the way he texted her at 3:00 am. She knew she had to everything she could to make him see that she felt the same way. She would scoot her chair closer to his. She would send him a heart emoji when he texted her. Finally he asked to meet up. Finally he would ask her out! When Lorraine met him at the coffee shop, he had to explain that they were just friends.
