COBIE

I hung up and placed my Nokia in my back pocket. We were at Julian's living-room, having coffee and bagels on the couch. I had just taken a bath and my hair had a strong, yet exquisite smell of men shampoo.

“Who was that?” he inquired with a mouthful of bagel.

“Luke. He wanted to know if I was okay and if I had arrived home safely”

“Mmhm” he verbally nodded while sipping his coffee “that’s nice of him”

“It is,” I smiled “he has always been like that. He’s a really caring person; he looks after me and Amy as if we were his own daughters...especially me, since we’ve known each other for so long”

Julian gazed at me with half a smile curved on his lips “How couldn’t he” replied his voice so smooth it almost made me shiver. I blushed.

“You need to stop that” I giggled.

“Stop what?” he beamed.

The sexiness, I thought.

“The complimenting” I said.

“Why?” he briefly smiled.

I was going to tell him that I didn’t feel like deserving it, but I decided to awkwardly change subject. “I-I don’t know” I stammered. “Hey, have you talked with any of the guys since last night?”

“No…” he answered a bit confused.

“Well guess what” I inquired, with a huge grin repressing the answer but making it fairly obvious.

“Is this about Albert and Amelie?” he chuckled between the line of obviousness and disbelief.

“Yup” I replied in a singsong voice.

“Oh man, he banged her right?” he laughed.

“They’re both lying naked on Luke’s floor... only covered by a blanket” I answered pursing my lips to repress a snigger.

He chortled loudly. “I knew it! This guy is a ladies’ man!”

I laughed out loud in response. “I guess he is. I saw him take care of Amy through the whole night yesterday. They both looked so cute together when lying on the bar’s couch...” I said smiling to myself "They were snuggling as new-born puppies”

"Albert is a really loyal dude; you can ask any of the guys. Amy is in really good hands" said Julian.

"I bet those were her thoughts last night" I replied humorously, and Julian burst out in a short but loud laughter.

"Oh man..." he grinned. Then silence.

The sun was going down, and the bright light rays passed through the balcony's glass door, softly tinting the living room in an orange shade, making the whole place look warm and comforting. These thin beams of light also caressed Julian's hair, making some of his locks look lighter in color. He looked so incredibly cute... I had to admit I had a tiny crush on him, but one of those crushes that would fade away after some weeks without seeing the guy. But the truth was I didn't want to stop seeing him.

"Did you have a good time last night?" He suddenly asked.

"Are you kidding?" I replied, genuinely surprised by such silly question "It was the best night of my life. Actually, your concert had already made it, but meeting you guys was the bonus" I shyly smiled.

He smirked whilst a red color intensified in his cheeks, and honestly flattered he said "I can't believe your immediate approach with our music. Did you really like it that much?"
