Harry
I really shouldnt be doing this. Actually, I don't think it matters. Why do I feel so guilty then? Just so you know, I'm not doing anything illegal. I'm meeting Caroline for coffee. All I really want to do is ignore her and maybe she would just vanish in my mind. But I can't. If I saw her again, the feelings would just come back, just like the other day. I can't juggle them like this. Especially not Lani. After all she's been through? I can't do it. I don't even know how she feels about me, but I guess it's a risk I'm going to have to take. The only hard part about this situation is choosing. Caroline or Lani. My heart drops as the thoughts swim through my head. Caroline or Lani. Not and, or. If I could, if it wasn't wrong, I would have them both. But there's only one person another's suppose to be with. Neither of the girl's out weigh's one another on the scale of my heart. It's balanced, almost. Lani's tilting a little more than Caroline. Why do I still have feelings for Caroline then? Why me?
"Hey babe," Caroline leans down to my cheek and kisses it. She put's her bag on the table and sit's across from me. I smile like there's nothing wrong. "Sorry, I'm late. My cat went crazy," she say's. Caroline rolls up the long sleeve of her right arm to show the cut that her cat apparently did. I'm not going to ask, but the cut looks too much for a cat to do. I guess not though.
She take's my hand and smiles. "So, I was thinking we should rekindle our relationship by taking a nice boat on the lake. Just me and you," she starts saying. I answer back and I'm listening. I'm not fully there though. I couldn't help but think what Lani was doing at this very moment.
Lani
I really should get a car. Taxi's are too much to pay for.
I walk to my doorstep with my grocery bags in my arms. Searching for the keys in pockets, I push my body against a bag and the door to support it up. Once I find the keys, I unlock the door.
I drop the bags to the floor. My mouths dropped, my hearts beating, and the pit of stomach twists. Everything is destroyed. The couch has been slashed, the TV looks as if someone took a bat to it, everything destroyed. "My money," I say to myself. I run to my bedroom. Everything is torn apart in there too. I open my dresser and dig deep down to the bottom. All my money is gone. I slam the drawers shut and I get hit in the head by a frame that was sitting up top. I bend down to the ground to see what it was. A picture of Luke and I. "Shit," I say. I run to the living room and go to the box of Luke stuff. Our home video is ruend. Someone had ripped the camera roll out of the tape. I drop it and start tearing up. As I look around at everything, I try to find one perfectly conditioned thing. Nothing. I've been robbed.

Caroline is stil talking. About herself, about us.I don't know why, but I quinched at the thought of us. My phone starts ringing. I look to see who's calling. The Girl Next Door show's up on my phone. It's Lani. I gave her that nickname. "One second Caroline... Hello?" I say as I answer the phone.
"Harry?!" I hear Lani. She sounds like she's crying. I can hear her sniffling. I jump from my chair.
"Lani?! Whats wrong?!"
"Everything is destroyed... I... I.." She sounds like she's having a panick attack as she gasps for air.
"I'll be right over," I say. I press end on my phone. "Sorry Caroline. It's an emergancy." I grab my coat and scarf. I didn't bother looking back at Caroline as she would probably be pissed.

"Lani?!" I say as I run into her opened door. I stop at the sight of a destroyed place. The couches look slashed, the TV is completely destroyed, there's a broken lamp, and then I see a a broken video tape. Next to it is a girl sitting hopelessly on the ground bawling her eye's out. "Lani," I say as I quickly walk over to her. I kneel down next to her and wrap my arms around her. "Shh, it's okay. Everything's going to be alright," I try comforting her. She then looks up at me, her eye's greener than ever, and I let go. "Everything's gone Harry. My money, any memory of Luke, and the thing I needed most; Hope. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm hopeless," She says trying to stop crying. Her eye's are red and poofy. Without hestitation, I go," Just stay at my flat tonight, and we will figure everything out tomorrow." Lani throws her arms around me and whispers into my ear, "Thank you for being there." Without thinking, I kissed her on the cheek. But she wont think anything of it. That's a thing we do in the UK. Kiss our friends on cheeks. But most of me thought Lani as more than a friend. Her cheek was soft and warm. Now I'm just dying to get a taste of her wonderful lips.
