Surprised and bewildered, everything began to stop for Erik, as if time itself had ceased to move on. It had been so long time since a girl had kissed him. He could feel his heart race, as it sent tremors through his body. “Restrain yourself you dolt!” He thought. “You’re about to lose control over a little kiss?” By demand, his heart slowed down and his body became as still as a rock again. As time started moving again, he looked at Ivory and saw that she looked at him like she couldn’t believe what she had done.

Ivory put her hands over her lips and turned away. A tear rolled down her cheek as she thought, “You idiot! What were you thinking, kissing him like that? What will he think of you now? Run. Run away. That’s what you’ve done all your life. Run. No. No running. He said he wouldn’t hurt you. He promised. Dad! Dad would know what to do. Except that dad is a guy and you’re a girl. Dad isn’t here and you are. Dad is fully clothed and you’re wearing your underwear, bra, and Erik’s shirt.” She took a deep breath, closed her eyes and managed a small, “I’m sorry. I-I-I don’t know what I was thinking…”

Erik puts his hand on hers and tried to reassure her by saying, “It’s alright my Ivory… I, I rather enjoyed it, really.” He starts to sweat and blushes realizing just how much of an imbecile he sounded like.

Ivory's eyes get really big as she's alarmed to hear this. "Well, this is awkward..." She thought. Her freehand pulled the shirt tighter around her and she worked up the nerve to ask, "I know this seems like an odd request, but seeming how I can't, can you maybe go buy me some clothes? You know, so you can have your shirt back and I can have... well, clothes."

Erik realizes how Ivory's in nothing but his shirt and smiles nervously "Oh, right, of course"

He reaches into my pocket and takes out his wallet to check his funds. “I still have about a few hundred left until my next pay.” He thinks to himself. He gets his jacket and zips it up to hide his revealing chest. "I won't be gone long, but if anyone knocks, do not let them in unless it's me, okay?"

“Okay. Oh wait! You’ll need my sizes. I’m a size 36B for bra, 7 for undies, medium in shirts and pants, and a size 4-6 in dresses” She informed. “Dresses…which I prefer…” she thought to herself.

He looks over to her, slightly tense from such info, “A-Alright then…”

“Oh I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable…” Ivy says timidly and looks away, “I just thought it’d be helpful since you are going to buy things for me…”

“N-no, I understand…I’ll be back soon.” Erik replies trying to regain his composure and leaves the room.

In a dark hotel room, the TV light shining on the young man’s chiseled face as the picture of a young girl appears on screen. Quickly the young man reaches for the remote and turns the volume up.

“Ivory Robinson is still missing. We have the report from the Jacobson household. Around 7 o’clock last night the head maid, Ms. Harriet Vain, went to fetch Ivory from her room, and found she wasn’t there. So she went to see if she had gone for a walk, when she came upon a most disturbing scene. There was blood around the base of a tree, a rope bound to it, and a piece of her dress on the scene. After calling the police and having them investigate, the DNA test came back positive; the blood was hers. Search parties were out all night, with no luck. She’s a 17 year old female. Ivory is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with long dark brown hair, pale skin, and very skinny. She would look weak and most likely is severely wounded. Mr. Jacobson is offering a reward for her return. Any news is welcome.”

The young man muted the TV and picked up the phone, hastily dialing a number. After a couple of rings, the phone clicked, but no voice came through. The young man’s deep voice broke the silence, “It’s me. Did you see the news?”

After a moment of silence, a voice came through the other end. It was deep and a little rough, but strong and firm, “Yes. She’s escaped. But it’s not good. We need to find her before something else happens to her.”

“Father, the blood amount…”

“She’s still alive. We have to believe that. If Jacobson is looking for her, it means he didn’t expect this.”

“So where do we start?”

After a little pause, he replies, “We start where she last was. We go to the woods. They must have already left there, so that’s where we’ll start. Meet me there at ten o’clock.” They hang up.

The young man turns off the TV and starts packing up his things, “We have to find her.”

Erik looks away from the TV in the store and makes his way over to women’s apparel, thinking to himself, “I don’t know what exactly is going on, but I can’t just let her be taken back to that monster. I have to hurry and get back to her.”

“Um, excuse me sir, can I help you?” A sales associate asks from behind Erik as he looks through the women’s clothes.

A little surprised, he turns to her, his cheeks a little pink. “What do I say? I can’t tell her the truth.” After a short pause and the curious look on the woman’s face intensifies he replies, “My sister needs some clothes. She lost her luggage and is resting from a long flight. I thought I’d come and get her something to wear.”

The woman’s face breaks into a smile, “What a kind brother. What does she like to wear?”

Erik thinks for a moment, “Well, she likes dresses, but she also needs some t-shirts and jeans.”

“Do you know her sizes? I assume she also needs some under garments.” The lady asked without skipping a beat.

“Yes, uh, can I write them down for you?” Erik quickly scribbles them down on the note pad she hands him.

“Perfect,” she says with a smile and she leads him to a chair, “Now wait here and I’ll take care of it for you.”
