(??? POV)
This is going to be a piece of cake, but it's only going to be me this time, like almost all the times. My stupid partners are too 'lazy' to do it today it was the same yesterday. I did amazing though, it was the most fabulous thing I have ever done, the costumes, the lights, the crowds cheering just for me. I can't wait for the thrill again tonight. I should really fire them or just get rid of them, I do the most work out of all of them, and I am the most powerful of the group. But there like family to me, there the only people I have. They did say that they should really start helping me because we get more than 900 people most nights, but alas they still won't help me. I guess they just don't love the fear radiating off of them as much as I do. I love the fear in they're eyes when they realize that they are trapped here like rats. I love the the look in their eyes as soon as they realize that they are doomed, that they should have never come here. The hopelessness with their body movements when it hits them that they will never see their families ever again.
This business has been going on for tens of thousands of years, it's in passed down through my family. The carnival, it doesn't really have a fixed name. It's been called many names the like; The Death Trap, Death House Carnival, and many other things that I can't really remember in my time. There are five of us that run the carnival right now. There used to be more but they weren't pulling their weight, so the were 'let go' if you know what I mean. A loud shout shattered my thoughts.
"Thorn, we need you into hair and makeup." The rough voice urged me to stop monologuing in my head.
"One second Tyson." I yelled back, the good people need to know about my past so I can continue my story.
"NO NOW!!" He shouted, at this time I knew he was getting irritated.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." I ran to him without any hesitation to go prep for the show. I can't wait for the show.
(Laughing Jack's POV)
I'm watching static on the TV, it's a good past time it clears my head. Sometimes you can hear the voices and sometimes you can see faces. It makes me happy. I'm supposed to be playing hide and seek with Sally, it's the ninth times this week. That little brat gets everything she wants and I can't even kill her, it's not fair to me. All of a sudden I hear furious tiny footsteps coming my way, it's probably Sally. I roll my eyes.
All of a sudden I felt a crushing weight on my chest. "Ow kid, you didn't have to jump on me." I hissed, obviously pissed off. But of course she didn't care, she just puffed out her cheeks obviously mad because I didn't care enough to find her.
"But Laughing Jack, you left me and Charlie hiding all alone in the kitchen." Sally wined her eyes watering. I held in my eye roll, just for her benefit and so I wouldn't get my ass kicked from someone else.
"I told you kiddo you didn't have to hide, if it would make you feel better you can hide at my carnival." Her eyes lit up at the suggestion, I don't know why, but dulled right back down.
"But Laughing Jack I've already seen all of the things at your carnival why can't we go to a different carnival?" I sighed, what a spoiled little brat. I had to think of something else so I said,
"Ok kiddo if you can find a carnival to go tonight, we'll go. Does that sound good to you?" She nodded and then ran up to her room, and before I could say anything else she ran back down with a paper in her hand, her smile even bigger than Jeff's. I looked at the paper and realized it was a flyer for a carnival that will be here for a couple nights it said,
Come one, come all to the
The Imaginarium Carnival
Free admission to all
Fun for whole family
Dress up in costumes is optional
Food there
Start time: 10pm
End time:12am
The flyer was colourful and had a carnival and a starry sky behind the words. It looked pretty good, and we could go as ourselves and no one would seem suspicious of us. It was brilliant.
"Alright kiddo, go gather up some of the other creepypastas and tell them we are going to a carnival." At this point Sally was jumping up and down, she ran up stair to get some creepypastas. I knew I wasn't going to go to this alone with this child.
I couldn't wait to go to this new carnival, but something in my gut wasn't sitting right. This seemed to be a big carnival but why haven't I seen or heard anything about it. They couldn't have been a very old carnival if they had business like this because they would have been out of business, and they couldn't have been a newer one because I would have heard of it. Oh well either way this will be a fun night nothing the less.
