Toddy liked me. I liked him in the past, but I got over it because I knew it would never happen. David turned off his camera and set it down then started talking to Todd while I was thinking about Toddy liking me.
"Um I'm gonna go home." I said getting up
"Why?" Todd said looking concerned.
"I just... have some work I need to get done."
"Okay. See you later."
"Bye." I said then left quickly. I got in my car and called Gabbie. She's always who I call when I need to talk about something that I can't talk to Todd about. She's my girl best friend.
"Hello." She said when she answered her phone.
"Hey can I come over?"
"Yea sure. What's wrong?"
"I'll tell you when I got there."
"Okay see you then."
"Bye." I said then hung up.
I started driving to Gabbie's apartment. I stopped at Trader Joe's and got some donuts and ice cream because I was craving it. When I was paying for my food I saw the cashier who looked to be around my age write something on my receipt. He handed it to me and said
"Text me some time."
I took my things and went back to my car and continued driving to Gabbie's. When I got to Gabbie's I grabbed all my stuff and went up to her apartment. She let me in and we went and sat on her couch and started talking and eating the food I got.
"So what happened?" Gabbie said
"Remember a year ago when I liked Toddy, but I got over it because I knew we would be nothing besides friends." I said
"Do you like him again?"
"No, but he likes me. He didn't say it, but if you add everything up it equals me."
"First of all whoa and second did you just use math to explain that?"
"Yea."
"Well it is obvious that he likes you."
"How?"
"The way he looks at you, he always says your beautiful, and he gets worried about you and takes care of you when your sick or feeling down."
"I guess that makes sense."
"Yea. I'm gonna clean a little bit while we talk if that's okay."
"Go ahead."
Gabbie got up and went into her dining room and said "Do you want to keep your receipt?"
"Um...Yea." I said remembering the cashier wrote his number on it.
"Wait who's number is this?" Gabbie said holding the receipt.
"The cashier."
"Was he cute?"
"Maybe."
"Text him then."
"I don't know his name."
"Good thing he wrote it down. Looks like you will be texting Brady."
"Alright let me see it."
Gabbie handed me the receipt and I typed in the number and texted saying
"Hey Is this Brady?"
A few minutes later I got a text back saying "Yea who's this?"
