Chapter 8

Toddy and I stayed in Hawaii for a week. We went on a date, went to the beach, and had an amazing week. Toddy is the best boyfriend I could ever have. He definitely got my mind off of my parents. Today we are back in town. I'm nervous to what our roommates are going to say to us because we haven't talked to them since we left and we posted some photos of us and we looked like we were a definite couple.

We walked in the house and made a straight shot for our rooms. We ended up running past David, Zane, Heath, Scott, Kristen,and Jason. We made it to our rooms, but we forgot to lock our doors. David, Zane, and Heath came busting in my room and Scott, Kristen, and Jason came busting in Toddy's room. They pulled us out of our rooms and into the living room.

"Y'all are dating aren't you?" Heath said

Toddy and I looked at each other. I didn't expect him to say this, but he said

"Yes."

"I knew it!" Zane screamed

"Y'all can't tell anyone though. We didn't want anyone to know in the first place."

"We wont, but why didn't you tell us?" Scott asked

"We just wanted to test the waters and we didn't want it to be weird if we broke up."

"I guess that is a good reason."

"Well what pictures did you take beside the ones we saw on y'all's Instagram?" Kristen said

I pulled out my phone and showed her the picture of us holding hands, one of us kissing, and a few others. She thought they were cute. Once everyone was done teasing us I went to my room and started unpacking. When I was done I went to Jason's room to ask him a question. I knocked on his door. He let me in and I shut his door.

"Jason did anybody come to the door looking for me while I was gone?" I asked scared of the answer

"Yea, but only once." He answered

"Okay. Thanks for telling me."

"Charlie was asking about you while you were gone."

"She was?"

"Yea. She hasn't seen you in a while and she was wondering where you were."

"Aw. When's the next time she'll be here?"

"Tomorrow actually."

"I want to do something with her if that's okay with you."

"Yea she would love that, but stay safe I don't want either of you to get hurt."

"I'll probably make you or Toddy come with us."

"Okay."

After talking to Jason I went back to my room. I changed my clothes then watched YouTube until I fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night to a bang outside the house. I quickly grabbed my baseball bat out of my closet. I glanced at the time. 3 in the morning nice. I slowly walked out of my room and looked to see if anyone was awake or woke up from the bang. I saw Toddy's light on so I went into his room.

"Did you hear that?" I asked

"Yea. You have your bat right?" Toddy answered

"Yes." I showed him the bat

"Let's go look and see what it was."

Toddy walked towards me and we walked around the house making sure no one was in the house. We went to the front door and looked outside. There wasn't anyone outside, but there was a box on the front steps. I slowly opened the door keeping the bat in my hands. I quickly grabbed the box and brought it inside. I opened it and it had pictures of me and all of my friends, things that I didn't take when I left New York, and lastly a letter. The letter said
