Caught Between Love And Fate

Lana's POV

I can't believe that I'm back in Smallville. But I really need to find out the meaning of this tatoo on my back. And there is a symble just like it down in the caves. So thats why I'm back. I just hope that I can figure out what it means whithout havng to ask HIM. I mean he has studied them more then just about anyone else so maybe he would know what it means.

No! I can not and will not go down that road again. I can't risk him hurting me again. And then there's Jason.

Oh my gosh Jason! I hope someday I will get the chance to explain why I left Paris without saying goodbye. And I hope he'll understand.

And with that in mind I left my apartment to go visit the grave of one of the only people that I truly missed after I left. But when I was heading down the stairs I saw the last person that I expected to see in Smallville, Kansas. Jason.

"Jason? What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"Did you really think that I wouldn't come looking for you? I mean you left without even saying goodbye. All I got was a letter saying that you had some stuff to figure out so you where heading home." he replied.

"I just couldn't take saying goodbye to you. It was easier to leave and hope you would understand someday" I said as I continued down the stairs till I was in front of him, " So what are your plans now that your here?" I asks as I reach up to place my arms around his shoulders slightly.

"Well I was thinking about transferring to Kansas University so that I can be closer to you. If you don't mind" he answered as he placed his hands on my hips.

"I don't mind. In fact if you want you can stay here with me if you don't want to live on campus." I said as I reach up to kiss him softly.

"I'd love to." he said kissing me back.

But what he didn't know was now that we where back in my small home town things where going to get alot more complicated and beyond strange.
