CHAPTER THREE

"RED TRAINS"

KAI LOVED A lot of things in life. One of these things were finding new adventures. When Kai read her ticket, she thought something was wrong.

"9 and ¾. That can't be right. There is no such thing." Kai said out loud. But she didn't think Hogwarts was a thing until she did.

"How are we going to get there, dad?" Kai asked.

Her dad smiled and ran at a brick wall. Kai gasped and covered her face. When she uncovered her face, she was expecting to see her dad, crumpled on the floor in a bloody mess, but he wasn't. He was gone. Kai looked around for her dad. 'He did not just leave me here alone.' Kai thought.

"Ello Kai." A voice behind her said. Kai jumped and looked behind her to find Fred...or George. She still couldn't tell.

"Oh, hello. Do you know how to get on the platform?" She inquired.

"Of course, just run at the wall." He replied coolly. Kai thought he was just being crazy until he ran at the same wall her father had minutes prior. Her face turned from shock to surprise as he disappeared through the wall.

"Okay, I can do this." She muttered to herself. Kai started to run quickly at the wall, waiting for the impact, but it never came. Instead, she found herself on a different platform. A large, red train was in front of her. The words on the side read, 'Hogwarts Express.' She was finally doing this.

She hugged her dad goodbye and quickly got on the train. She couldn't wait for a new adventure.

Kai walked through the train, looking through the compartments for Fred and George. Finally at the end, she found them and went inside the compartment.

"Ah, finally. We've been waiting for you." One said.

"Oops. Oh, wait, I don't care." Kai replied, laughing.

"Ouch Georgie. Bet that hurt your ego." Fred joked.

"Shut up." George retorted.

Kai laughed and leaned against the side of the compartment, looking at the twins.

"So, Kai. What house do you think you'll be in? Gryffindor is obviously the best. All our siblings have been in Gryffindor. We'll still love you if you're sorted into Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, but not Slytherin." Fred said.

Kai frowned at the Slytherin part. Her father mentioned he was in Slytherin. Did that mean that she would be too?

"Well, I'm hoping for anything besides Slytherin then." She answered.

The train ride was long, but eventually, they got to Hogwarts. She survived the boat ride with Fred and George and walked up the many steps to Hogwarts. All the first years surrounded a stern, but gentle lady named McGonagall in the chamber of reception. She explained the sorting to them and lead them into the Great Hall for the welcoming feast. One by one, people were called up to the raggedy old hat to be sorted. Fred and George were sorted into Gryffindor. Finally, Kai Morena was called up.

"Ah, Ms. Morena. I've been waiting for this day. Your father excelled in Slytherin, but I do not think you will excel there. I see you are loyal to your friends and you're brave. You could fit well in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor." The hat mused.

"I want to be with my friends, Mr. Hat...sir." Kai told the hat.

"Yes, you would be great with them, but Hufflepuff needs people like you Kai Morena." The hat droned on.

"Please Hat. Let me go with my friends." Kai said.

"I've made my decision Ms. Morena." The hat replied

Kai sat, scared at what the hat would shout. But want he said, shocked her.

ooohhh, Kai is at Hogwarts now. What house will she get??? I really wanted her to be a Slytherin, but I decided against it for obvious reasons. Short chapter, but she finally made it.
