After I finished making Brooklyn's plate, I set it down on the counter for when she got out of the shower. I whipped up my own and headed out of the kitchen. Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. Gotta have my barbecue sauce, and syrup for the pancakes. Ben and Cat can sure cook, I'll tell you that.
"I SMELL BREAKFAAAAST!!" A loud voice echoed through the house. It was soon followed by a bark and swing of a door.
A dog came running in from the hallway, tail wagging and feet going crazy with excitement. He ran into Catherine's arms after she put down her plate to greet him.
That's Kahu. He's mostly German Shepard, hence his handsome looks, but I've been told he had some Pit, Greyhound, and even some husky. You can't see any of those, but when on the field they all take their part, addition to his Shepard. He's a great dog.
"I smell hash browns. My favorite." Said the K9 operator himself. He came in from the hall, rubbing his palms together, ready for food. His brown hair was clearly bed-head, but he didn't look tired at all. Probably been awake for an hour now.
He currently wore a green shirt, with a T-Rex dumping taco sauce into a taco. His black pajama pants rocked a smiley face, at his crouch area, with the tongue sticking out. He had an assortment of rubber bands on his wrists, and a short-trimmed beard covering the bottom half of his face. This was Kāpena. He was tall too. The third tallest, just below Ben. He was white, as well, not to be racist, but tanner than Damien and Ben. Somehow. Kap was the joker of the group, other than myself. Well... we were all jokesters in our own ways, but Kap was the sarcasm lord, and was the guy to call when you wanted to piss someone off. He's good with distractions.
"G'morning." He said as he patted my shoulder on his way by. I responded with a nod of the head.
Before getting to his breakfast, he went down the stairs to open the door for Kahu. Once the dog heard the door open, he bolted outside to take care of his nightly-held business.
I sat down at the counter just as my baby came out of the room. "Good morning everyone." She announced. Everyone replied in a joyful manner. She sat down next to me, and began to eat her way through her plate.
"Hey, Noah!" I was called to by Damien's voice from behind. I turned around to hear him better as he continued to talk. "Anything we gotta take care of today?"
"Yeah, any skulls to crush?" Ben asked.
"Any throats to slice?" Kap chimed in from the other side of the counter.
"Any faces we can slowly burn off by emitting a blowtorch to their precious flesh...?" Cameron strummed a string. Everyone looked at him with various faces, but then turned their attention back to me.
"Nope..." I say. They replied with a heavy sigh of disappointment. "Oh, except for this." I said as I slid a paper out from my pocket.
They all gasped in unison, even Kahu's ears rose after he had just came back.
     "What is it?" James asked.
     "I dunno." I teased.
"Bro," Ben said impatiently. "Just tell us."
"Where's the fun in that?" I laughed.
"Yoink." Kap said as he snatched the paper from the other side of the counter. "What do we have here."
"Ay, gimme that!" I said, trying to snatch it back, but he backed away from the counter, out of my reach. Brook giggled beside me.
"What is it, Kap?" Ben asked him from across the room.
"It's a kill order..." he began. "For a mob boss down town.  Some guy called The Exterminator. Dumb name." He continued to read on as I waited for him to react to what I already knew. "For the prize of 200k?" His eyes widened. "For each operator on the field!? Not bad!" He and the rest of the group gasped and fist bumped each other.
"We're taking care of this tonight." I said. Everyone is needed for this job. I already filed the count for operators, and even cheated by adding the girls."
     "Yess." They said in unison.
"We're meeting in the Room an hour from now. Until then, you can all just... do what you do I guess. And good morning!"
