jack didn't have much to do so he got high. his mother was passed out on the couch again. some random guy was on the floor.
jack went into his room and locked the door. he sat on his bed. his eyes flashed to the clock.
the red lights swam in his vision. 9:52 pm.
he looked back at the wall, his head feeling too heavy to hold up. his chest felt weightless. if he held still long, it felt like he was floating. when his eyes flashed back to the clock it was 6:42 the next morning.
he decided to take a cold shower. halfway through the water shut off. his mom didn't play the bill. he was waiting for the lifts to shut off too.
he tried to help pay the bills. but nobody wanted to hire a drug addict. he thought about quitting. he considered it seriously.
he could clean himself up and do something with his life.
he could leave this shitty town.
he could do good for once.
