Chapter One - The Meeting

Ugh. It's only 9am. Who could be calling at this time?

"Hello?"

"Varun! You're still sleeping. Weren't we supposed to meet at 10am this morning?"

I looked at my alarm clock on the bedside table. Oh sh**! It's 12pm!

"Sid, bro, I am so sorry. I overslept. I am really sor- "

"Hahah okay, leave all that. I know you were partying last night. Listen, it's my friend's wedding tonight. If you can come, we can meet up and have a good time as well. What do you think?"

"Bro. How can I say no?"

"Alright then. I'll see you tonight at 7:30pm at the Royal Hall. Be there or I'll go down to your house and drag you here. "

"Yeah, yeah. See you. "

I put down my phone on the table and got up. Let me introduce you. That was my friend, Sidharth Malhotra. Yep, the actor and my name is Varun Dhawan. Yes we were both in Student Of The Year. Since then, we have remained good friends but we're both busy with our own movies and haven't had time to meet up.

Ding-dong!

Seriously? I'm like the most popular person in the world today. I go and open the door.

"Varun! How are you, man? "

It's my brother, Rohit.

"Hey, bhai. I'm good, come on in."

Rohit went in and sat on the sofa in my living room. I sat down on the chair next to him.

"So..are you doing any movies at the moment?" he asked.

I rolled my eyes. Rohit asked me this every week.

"Why?"

"I've been planning to direct a new movie and put you as the lead?"

"I'll think about it. I still have Main Tera Hero promotions to go through."

"Oh, yeah. Dad's movie."

Rohit left after an hour and I decided to get some breakfast from my favourite cafe, Le Montrè. I have no idea what it means.

"A chocolate frappuccino, thanks." I told the lady at the counter. I got my frappe and went outside. Suddenly I bumped into someone and dropped my frappe.

"Hey!" I yelled. I looked up to see the most beautiful girl I've ever seen with the most gorgeous eyes. She had dropped her coffee as well.

"Don't 'hey' me! You should have seen where you were going!" she shouted back at me.

"Excuse me? Maybe you should have been more careful!"

"If you hadn't bumped into me, then I wouldn't have to be careful!" Okay, she was pretty but all the shouting was getting on my nerves.

"I didn't bump into you, you bumped into me!"

She groaned and left. Fine with me. I got another frappe and the day went by pretty uneventful. At 7:00, I dressed in my best tuxedo and drove to the Royal Hall. I arrived at exactly 7:30. Sid was waiting outside the entrance. I hugged him.

"It's been too long." he said. I nodded and we went inside. The venue was huge. Lights everywhere, with rich people with groups talking with glasses in their hands. Looked formal.

"Hey, Varun, I wanted to introduce you to someone." Sid said. A girl with black hair wearing a blue sari appeared at his side.

"This is Aditi, my girlfriend. Aditi, this is Varun, the one I was telling you about."
