A strange place to be

"Two transfers in one day? Ouch."
"At least this one isn't as hard to handle, I mean geez, that girl truly was a handful."

I mean geez, talking about me like I'm not there. On top of dissing me for being weak.
Like, thanks, I rolled my eyes, I'mma just sit here then. 
As a bunch of formalities were being passed over with the security guys, I allowed my eyes to wander around the huge room I was situated in. Okay, not so much big, as tall. It must've been a decent 15 meters, the only thing the same size being the massive vault door, of whose weight would have easily passed hundreds of tons. Concrete, I guessed, but containing reinforced steel. My quirk picked that up easily enough.

The walls were completely whitewashed like most of the rest of the facility, but without the grimy stains and signs of decay. These were clean and maintained. Bizarre.

A few doors exited the room, all white and steel reinforced, with no sort of windows to see through. It finished up with a single reception desk in the corner, with two guys at it.

W..Why am I here? I was expecting some kind of evil dungeon and torture chamber not... this?

The previous tsunami of fear had passed, and left behind it a strange sensation of curiosity and confusion.  I still felt anxious, but... not in the same way as before. However, there was definitely something weird going on here.

My back screamed at me as a sudden, sharp prod came from one of the new guys.
"Come on little one, we ain't got all day."
"Things to do, places to be",  announced a Sector E guy (I mean this is annoying to address them in such a vague manner, but here they don't exactly wear name tags) "We're busy, you're busy, and I leave the troublemaker to you. See you around!"
And with that, he stalked off. Leaving me, extremely confused, in a Sector which isn't even supposed to exist, with people I do not know, nor do I have any inclination to.

Okay, so... Just... What?
