~Liz's Point of View~

Ashton, Jacob, and I are all sitting in the principle's office. I almost laugh at the irony.

When Jacob and I were in kindergarten, we both got sent to the principle's office. He put worms on my head. I kicked him in the balls.

Good times.

"Just like old times, huh?" Jacob says, nudging my arm. At least, I think that's what he said. It's really hard to understand someone with a swollen lip.

"Don't touch me unless you want me to slap you again." I say, not even bothering to look at him.

"You will not lay a hand on anyone, Ms. Rogers." Ms. Pluex, our school secretary, says.

"To be fair, Ms. Pluex, he placed his hands on me and was whispering things that a young lady should never hear. I was just defending my honor." I say.

I hear Ashton snort.

"Is something funny Mr. Valedictorian. Or are you even going to be that since you decided to go punching happy?" I ask him.

"Punching happy?" He asks, confusion in his voice.

"Yes. It's like trigger happy, only instead you're punching happy." I say as though he is an idiot.

"That doesn't make any sense." Ms. Pluex, Jacob and Ashton say at the same time.

I think that's what Jacob said.

Principle Rhodes walks into the office, saving me an explanation, holding what I'm guessing is our permanent records.

He looks at me and gives me a small smile.

He looks at Jacob and frowns at him. I have to struggle to hold in a laugh.

When he looks at Ashton though, it's like he's looking at freaking Buddha or something.

"How are you doing Ashton my boy?" Principle Rhodes says, patting him on his shoulder.

Ashton finches a little at the touch. Does Rhodes really hit that hard?

"I'm fine." He says, still wincing.

"Well let's start with the victim first." Principle Rhodes says. I stand up and so does Jacob.

"Jacob sit down. You are not the victim." I tell him.

"I got slapped and punched in the face. I am the victim." He says.

I think.

"I'm the victim. Do you want me to repeat the things you said?" I ask him crossing my arms.

"Yes." Ms. Pluex, Principle Rhodes, and Ashton all say at the same time.

"Mr. Howard, please sit down. I'll be talking to Ms. Rogers first." Principal Rhodes says escorting me to the the his office.

Making sure Rhodes is in front, I turn around and flip off Jacob, who is staring daggers at me.

"I saw that Ms. Rogers." Ms. Pluex says.
