~Ashton's Point of View~
By the time I make it to the school parking lot, I see it's already empty. We must have been in that office for a while. Throwing my backpack into the passenger seat, I put the old truck in drive and race home. Dad should have already left for his business trip going who knows where, so I don't think I have to worry about him. What I am worrying about is my project.
Who have I admired since I've been in highschool? Most people would say their parents; but since Mommy is a drug addict and Daddy is abusive, I guess that lane wouldn't be the correct one. I could say some celebrity has inspired me with their messages but that'd be a load of crap. My teachers are not a bad choice, but that would be typical for the valedictorain to choose as someone I have admired. My fellow classmates are completely out of the question.
Jacob is a complete ass. Jessica is a slut. All the guys in the locker room are a bunch of idiots who drink their body weight in alcohol every weeked. I don't really know Thalia that well, other than what the guys in the locker room have told me. And then there's Elizabeth.
But do I really want the whole school to know that I like her? Do I even like her? Maybe it's more of an admiration. She's been through hell and back and yet she still seems to have a decent life. I heard her sister is going to one of the best colleges in California, and her parents always seem happy when I've seen them at school conventions. What is there to be sad about?
Other than the fact that the whole school body has bullied her. She doesn't seem to be taking drastic measures to change herself. So it's decided. The person I admire is Elizabeth.
