I wish I could let people see that some ships are not as cancerous as they seem. At least, not to me.
Like, literally 5 minutes into the Camp Camp fandom, my shit brain immediately thought 'awe, Max x David seems kinda cute.'
But I wasn't really expecting it to get so much hate. Like, at all. Usually age difference ships just get left alone in peace. At least.. with all the fandoms I'm in.
So let's take a look at Maxvid, right?

To where it's cute.. To me.
Apparently, not to anyone else. See, there are many popular gapped ships that get minimum hate, A couple examples being Billdip, or Ereri.
Now if you compare to those two, Maxvid has the lowest gap. So, why so much hate? Too young? Fast forward a little bit. Too opposite? Fuck you.
(To be honest, I like the 'opposites attract' scenario. It's.. cute.)
Here's the thing that just slightly sets me off though. "If you ship Maxvid, you're a pedo."
Um.. it doesn't work like that? They're fictional..
Plus, most people in the Camp Camp fandom are minors. If they liked toddlers, which I don't see how, then that's pedophilia.
However.. if the person was more interested in David and not Max (which is basically standard), that's Teleiophilia - a minor attracted to older people.
