Emily's POV
It was New Year's Eve. I was sat on the couch in nickys family house, thinking about my year. I started out this year with a best friend, who supported me through everything and came to my xfactor audition with me. We both met nicky, she flirted and began dating him, when she knew I liked him. Then they spilt up and he began dating me. He cheated on me with her so I took a long walk in the middle of the night, only to get kidnapped and held hostage by her. She then told me she had always hated me and was jealous of me, hence why she wanted to murder me, bit extreme if you ask me but I guess she had her problems. The nicky saved me, I landed in a coma due to her beating me up badly. I survived the coma, held up xfactor, which will continue next month or a few days for that matter, and now here I am thinking how the hell something like this, happens to a normal girl like me.
"Hey" Nicky snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Hey" I said, smiling
"You coming outside? It's like a minute until the countdown and we need to see the fireworks!"
"Okay" he took my hand and led me out into his back garden. His whole family were here, which was a bit scary for me because they all kept bombarding me with questions and telling me how nicky really likes me. I looked over and made eye contact with his mum, she smiled so I returned it. His mum was really nice, I thought she'd hate me for all the drama I put her son through but no, which was good.
"Start counting...now" she said, looking at her watch. We all counted down to zero and said happy new year to each other as the fireworks boomed and lit up the sky in the background. Nicky turned to me,
"Happy new year sweetie"
"Happy new year nicky" I said, leaning in a kissing him as his family 'Aww'ed. What a perfect moment, I didn't want it to end.
