Ulchi raised an non-existing eyebrow in agreement.

The plan is good. Won't hold on for long, but it's good nonetheless.

-You sure about this, kid?

-75% positive, 20% debating.

-And that last percent?

Looking away, Kota steeled himself.

-Let's go.

Without hesitation, Ulchi hand signed to Dolcetto, the closest lookout. He nodded, holding up 2 fingers.

Two thuds would be the signal.

They waited a while till Dolcetto appeared within sight again, having alerted the others of the signal. He stood beside a hollow container hitting it with a hand shaped in an eagle-fist.

Thud. One more...and-

THUD.

Action.

-MOVE!

Every chimera jumped out of range. Disoriented, the attackers hesitated, guns lowered for a second. That's all he needed.

Kota silently jumped into the red-zone, metallic eyes blazing. He looked fierce, like a raging tiger in the dead of night, only seen by the outlines of the grass parting ways towards their prey. The gun-holders never saw him coming. A perfect disguise, considering the fact that he was terrified. His hairs stood on end as he rammed full speed into the nearest shooter. They were thrown into the crates, slamming back first.

BAM!

The air hung heavy. Kota smirked lightly.

-TKO.

One of the men shook out of his shock.

-WHAT ARE YOU MORONS WAITING FOR!?! SHOOT!

The ruckus started again. Each shooter was aiming at Kota but they missed. The snow leopards constant swiveling outmatched them all.

-Nice!" shouted Ulchi.

Greed, hands full with slicing throats and snapping orders for the backup plan, only laughed.

-Well, would you look at that. Snowflake learned to roar.

And roar, he did...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...At least, for a while.

A while being 14 flipping minutes!

By that time, Kota managed to crowd part of the mob into a corner of the train yard, two large crates blocking both exits. The back one to prevent more attackers to come in, and the other blocking most of the chimeras.

Well...Not all of them. You can't block a path and not expect at least a few to get past. Some were gathered on top of the metal box, some yelling, others killing the rest outside the confinement. Kota mentally shook his head. Mid-range chimeras.

Ugh. My legs are starting to burn.

-Boss, we gotta do something!

-He's not letting us fight!

-Yeah! He's blocking us!

-The kid's gonna get himself killed!

Sweating from exertion, Kota growled.

Really now? Couldn't you figure that out in the first place? Now my ears are burning as well. Can't they shut up for a sec? How can they even think! Aren't the bullets loud enough? Geez!

-Guys,*leaps over shooters, smashing two together* as much as I like you, *avoids bullets, uppercuts the nearest, punches the next* SHUT UP!

As Kota was yelling, a thug snuck up behind him. He was distracted enough to get hit in the shoulder, momentarily thrown off balance.

-For flips SAKE!

He swirled around to uppercut them. He got a bruise on his arm; the other wasn't so lucky.

Above the commotion, Greed jumped up alongside the loudmouths shouting encouragements. Ignoring the rest of the chimeras, he looked down at the feline analytically. When he saw the kid get closer, he yelled loud enough for Kota to hear.

-Hey, Frosty!

- WHAT!?!

-Stop whining. Can you hold it five minutes longer?

Still dodging, Kota managed to look up with determination.

-I'LL TRY, *grunts* NOT T-TOO LONG- DAMMIT!'

Man, I can't hear anything over these guys.

The barrage of bullets never stopped. After what seemed like hours, Kota started slipping. Muscles shaking under the strain of constant dodging, he let the enemy kill themselves.

He was starting to see double.

Not good. I-I can't keep this up much longer! So much for the "I'll try".

Ch-CHIK

Shit.

Someone loaded. Kota jumped up with a yelp.

A bullet whizzed too close to his ankle.

'BOSS!'

His voice wasno longer calm. After a few more leaps, 4 rivals fell down. Turning cold. Kota couldn't bare to watch. Not that he had any choice in the matter.

Pak! Pak! Pak!

Only 3 left...

POW!

2. Jump, and

-ARGH!

-KID!

He slipped.

Kota slipped. As in, foot sliding over an unstable surface kind of slip.

Heh, sounds like a bad joke.

The feline skid headfirst, tumbling across the dirt. He slammed into a crate back first. Hard.

-Da-am!" He hissed.

Groaning he lifted himself up into a kneel, limbs burning. He heaved.

I'm gonna puke.

Kota brought his hands up to his mouth only to be stopped by the pain

-Ugh... Wha-?

Blood. He was bleeding . His arms and legs were bleeding. Bad.

Gotta get up.

-Frosty?

A warning.

So far...

-I'm ok! I'm-

K-CLICK

A nozzle.

-Perfect~!

A metallic nozzle was pointed at the kids temples. The area stumped into silence, a vacuum sucking both air and sound into a void. The owner of the chunk of metal looked up at Greed with sickly malice.

-Oh, Dermanger~ Or should i call you by your given name? What was it again~...right! Greed~." The thug hooted at the angry faces of the surrounding chimeras. When he saw no reaction from the boss, he turned serious once more. "Don't move, or you're little friend is dead."

He laughed again in the face of an unmoving Greed.

Well, shoot.
