I woke up at seven o'clock and changed into a pair of shorts and put sunscreen on. The shorts I have on are swim trunks but they look like normal shorts. I walked downstairs to the kitchen and ate toast for breakfast.

Adam came inside and I said "What am I helping you with today?" "That's a good question. Today, I need you to feed the goats, catfish, and if you can, clean out the horse stalls. But you don't have to clean out the horse stalls if you don't want to. And put more water in the water troughs for all the animals." Adam told me. I nodded and got up from the table. I put my work boots on and went outside. Adam and I walked to the barn and I grabbed two buckets of goat food and brought them to the goat pen. I opened the goat pen and closed the gate once I walked in. They both came over to me and I poured each bucket into the trough. I walked out of the goat pen and closed the gate. I put the buckets back on the shelf since Adam fills them once he knows the animals were already fed so the buckets are ready for the next feeding. I walked out to the catfish pond and pushed the button on the feeder. I walked back to the barn and asked Adam "Where do I get the water for the animals?" "Here. I'll show you." He answered and we walked over to a hose and he said "I'll give the water to the bigger annals but just put water for the goats and pigs. Take two buckets of water and fill up each water trough." I nodded and filled up each bucket with the hose. I went to the pig pen and put the water into water trough and did the same for the goats.
"Thanks Jude. That helps me a lot." Adam said when I brought the buckets back. "No problem. Happy to help." I replied. "I'm surprised you're up this early. The other boys aren't even up yet." He said. "I like getting up earlier. I like doing farm work. It's fun." I replied. "Well, I don't know about fun." He laughed. "The boys don't seem to think so. They grew up thinking it was just something that had to be done. They didn't find it very fun." Adam told me.
I nodded and he asked me "How come you don't have a shirt on?" "I didn't want to get it dirty." I answered. He nodded and said "I'm gonna clean out the horse stalls. You don't have to." "Are you sure?" I asked. "Yeah. But after I finish the horse stalls, you can help me bale the hay on the tractor." Adam told me. I nodded and said "Okay. I'm gonna be at the catfish pond and then I'll be in the barn playing on my skateboard." Adam nodded and I walked to the catfish pond.
I watched the fish for ten minutes and then walked to the house. I grabbed my skateboard from my room and went to the utility barn. I rode around and did some tricks for awhile until Adam came and got me. He drove the tractor out of the barn once he put the baler on it and I got onto the tractor with him.
