School is difficult as it is. Why make it harder? Tell that to society.
People with similar interests, hobbies and talents usually take an interest in each other and become close. Become friends. Eventually the student body gets separated into groups of these so called "friends". Some groups are more known that others. Some are big, some are small. These groups are defined by a common factor they all share.
For ex: One time one of my classmates was walking towards me and my friends. But then one of my friends sitting next to me yells, "Go away! You're not emotionally damaged!" She walked away.
Do you see how it divides us? How it categorizes us? How it individualizes all of us?
Yup. It can be pretty harsh at times. So harsh as to some people resort to seriously violent methods because they don't "fit in". Which dangers themselves and others.
But the worst thing is when you don't have anything in common with everyone. When you don't see eye to eye with someone suddenly you're the bad guy. Suddenly you are different.
I don't like that.
We are disliked by others because we aren't alike. But shouldn't we be celebrating that?
I mean, do you really want to live in a world where everyone is the same? I didn't think so.
Where am I going with this? To be honest I don't know. But I do know one thing.
Everyone's different so don't discourage that. Because this isn't my opinion, Its a fact.
