My face feels so hot as my hand squeezes Rose's. Her skin is so soft and electric. I try not to look in her eyes as I lead her to the ballroom. We approach the intricately carved oak ballroom doors. Roses and vines are carved around corners and run down the side. It is a very beautiful sight. I push open the doors, and the sounds of a live orchestra hits my ears. I catch the door with my back, then I tug at Rose's hand, and I turn to look at her. Her eyes are downcast. I instinctively pick her chin up, coaxing her diamond eyes to meet mine. A soft whimper leaves her pink lips. She looks so nervous, I smile at her encouragingly. I'll lead for the dance. I've had lessons all my life on how to dance. She looks down and shyly trains her eyes on the floor. I grab her hand and pull her towards the dance floor, her heels clicking behind me. I stop at a place on the outside of the other dancer's space. I place my hand on Rose's waist, feeling the heat radiating off her body. I use my hand that isn't clutching hers to guide her hand on my shoulder, and she smiles shyly at me. The music starts, and I start to sway, and she realizes we have begun to dance. She begins to move in rhythm with me. I do the step forward, step back motions of the Waltz. She steps on my feet a lot, but over halfway through the song, she starts to get the hang of it. As we twirl and glide across the floor, I can feel the tension in Rose's body slowly melting away. Her eyes meet mine, and I see a spark of joy flicker in them. I smile at her, silently encouraging her to let go of her fears and just enjoy the moment. And as the music swells and the world fades away, I realize that in this moment, there is only Rose and I, dancing together in perfect synchrony.

Her electric blue hair looks so stunning up like that. It makes me think of how to pull it down, so I can run my fingers through the silky strands. Then the song changes to a slower song. I slow down, and she follows suit. I gaze into her eyes, and I pull her closer. Her face pinkens through her make-up. I smile softly at her, and she shyly looks at her feet. The music starts to sound more romantic than just slow. I lean in closer to her, and speak lightly, "You look so beautiful tonight. I'm glad you're my date." She looks up at me, our eyes meet. She whispers in stutters, "I, um thanks. You too.". Her thoughts trail off, until she seems lost in my eyes. I gaze into hers, and the tempo gets a bit faster than crescendos. I spin her out, and pull her back against me. She looks up at me, and then I let her go, and we continue to dance like before. I never want this dance to end, with her in my arms and her electric blue hair framing her beautiful face. The music swirls around us, and I can feel the connection between us growing stronger with each step. I hold her close, savoring the feeling of her in my arms, and I know that this is a moment I will never forget. As the song comes to an end, I whisper softly in her ear, "Thank you for tonight. You've made it truly magical." She smiles up at me, her eyes shining with happiness, and I know that this is just the beginning of something special between us. We just stand there lost in each other's eyes, I realize that I never want to let her go. Her hands take both of mine, and our gazes become closer until I can feel her breath on my face. I close my eyes. I hope this moment lasts forever.
