Exiles

Chapter 1

I opened my eyes to see a new room, it wasn't my cell nor was I in the medical lab. The room was filled with colors and warmth, at first, I was in awe but then my instincts kicked in. this wasn't my cell. I quickly got out of the bed and ran to the door trying to open it. the door didn't budge I gripped the door handle and used all my strength ripping the door off its hinges. throwing it to the side. A man in his fifties sitting in the middle of the room. "you know if you had just knocked I would have open the door."  he said sounding like he was joking. I squinted at him trying to figure him out. he bent down picking up a yellow file and with a small smile. "you must be Lion?" he asked. I looked at the files in his hands. "you have the files, why are you asking." I kept my voice sharp. the old man grabbed his chest. "you wound me, child." he said with a laugh. the hair on my neck stood up. "where am I?" I asked tossing my hair back out of my face. The old man smiled at me. " I'll tell you in a second I'm waiting for two more." I looked around the house, looking for an exit. I could only find one and that was behind the old man. " I wouldn't leave if I where you Lion." his voice was a little colder the before. The man crossed his legs and leaned on them. "I have twenty men outside position with guns and the moment you walk out those doors they will shoot."  I looked at my feet then growled.  the man flinched a bit. finally, another door opened and a dark man walked out. he had brown hair in a bun, I couldn't help but stare. The dark man the walked out was rubbing his eyes. finally, he looked at the older man in the center of the room. "Doctor Fin?" he muttered. doctor Fin grinned and clapped his hands. " my boy Kyo, you've gotten so big!" Fin stood up and walked towards Kyo. Fin made it up to Kyos neck and I barely made it to his shoulders. I took a step back. Kyo looked away from Fin to me.  Kyo lazily shrugged at the tension in the room. Fin dragged Kyo to a chair and Kyo took note of the files and picked up one. "Lion?" he looked up at me. "what kind of name is that?" he asked. My cheeks turned red. "why does it matter?" I shot back, it's not like I choose my name. Kyo blinked then looked back at the file not answering my question. Fin got up and spoke. "I'm going to get the other guest of ours." I leaned on the wall crossing my arms. "how are you so calm?" I spit out. Kyo put the file down and looked at my eyes lowered. "what makes you think I'm calm?" he asked. I glared at him and Kyo sighed. "look, kid, I don't know what to tell you, but play nice." he said in a warning tone. I slowly made my way to Kyo. if Kyo wasn't watching her, he would have never seen her coming. I grabbed my file from Kyo. " I'll play nice for now, only because he has guns pointed at us outside," I muttered as I sat down. Kyo yawned again and this time closing his eyes as he leaned his head back. I watched his movements slowly. Kyo had a scar on his right eye, he wore the same prison outfit i did and he seemed very lazy. Fin came back with another boy. He looked right off pissed until he looked at me then he gave a smirk before winking In my direction. My upper lip curled bared my teeth at him growling. Fin sat down the other boy then sat in the middle. "alright lets starts this shall we?" Kyo opened his eyes and sat up straight, well the other boy leaned on the chair he was on. "My name is doctor Fin, i'm here to give you an option." this caught all our attention. "The country needs help from you guys and you need my help." his tone changed into a formal condition. I scoffed. "how in any way do we need your help?" Fin looked at me. "The FBI was planning on terminating you but because of me they kept you alive," he said. I looked at the other two. Kyo was leaning his knees and was listening well the other boy was staring at me. "why?" the other boy asked. Fin looked down in silence for a moment then spoke. "A man named Duke Simon had created a serum that causes humans to become like you but they have no mind and they crave blood, they are called Hellions and we need someone to hunt them down and kill them," he explained. "Issue is that our FBI agents can't handle them we need more manpower." this time Kyo spoke up. "so you want to make the three of us a team for the FBI and kill something that could become a worldwide issue?" he asked  Fin intertwined his fingers. " yes." Kyo sat back in his seat sighing. I crossed my arms and slinked into my chair. "i don't understand, why you want us three to do it when you have literally hundreds and hundreds of agents that should be enough manpower."  Fin pinched his nose. "it took eight of our agents to kill one of the Hellions."
