4 - No Teamwork

The squads returned to the form room.

Today was a Wednesday meaning that it was the first day with your squad, learning about how it all works.

Mr Aizawa gave out forms regarding each individual student; it was a consent form, stating that the academy would supply the students with all the equipment and education they need for this to work, but will not be responsible for any loss of life.

While that last bit was pretty offputting, you couldn't ignore everything you could get out of this project, and so the students were quick to sign.

After collecting in all the forms, Mr Aizawa left, allowing the squad leaders to decide what they would do.

The other squads, even Team Seidumb, seemed to know what they were doing, as they rushed out in an exciting chatter.

Haru even overheard one of them talking about a ghoul hunt, which made him personally really excited.

However, Shinohara didn't seem to be interested in doing anything like that.

Unlike the other leader, Shinohara didn't have any weapons on him, and was still smiling carefree. While this comforted Hiyori, Haru wasn't too pleased.

"Are we not going on a ghoul hunt..? Like the other team?"

"What? No way, its too early to put you into that much trouble!! I've already come up with something better anyway." Shinohara walked forwards, signalling the others to follow.

Juuzou skipped ahead, as Hiyori walked over normally, but Haru slowly trudged, making them all wait.

They followed Shinohara out of the building, and into a car. It looked small but was actually really spacy, and there were cool accessories like Bluetooth and automatically opening doors and even cup holders!!

Juuzou jumped into the front, looking out excitedly through the front window. He had only been in a car once or twice before, and it was a really exciting experience. He smiled and looked back at Hiyori and Haru, who were next to each other in the back, to see if they were also having fun. They both looked at him with disgust on their faces.

He thought now that they were a squad, maybe they would accept him, but it seems that wasn't the case.

He decided it was a great opportunity, now that they were alone and Shinohara wasn't here yet, to ask them what exactly he did wrong.

"Hey guys..."

"What do you want??" Haru was still mad about the ghoul hunt.

"So umm, why exactly do you hate me?"

There was a small silence as Hiyori broke their eye contact.

"Because," replied Haru, "you're weird and annoying, and then always think its funny."

Juuzou frowned. "How am I weird and annoying..?"

"Well," Haru sat up, showing this was a long list, "first of all, you're tiny; shortest by far and your body is so small, yet you're still the strongest here, makes me wonder how you've been training and why nobody's know about your existence until a year ago. Who even are your parents anyway? I've never seen them before although they should have been there on your first day, but you were just with CCG members. Of course, there is also the fact that you have all those stitches and your clothes and your strange killing obsessions that also show how weird you are, but its the whole mystery around you which makes me uncomfortable..."

Juuzou stared dumbfounded at this elaborate answer. He didn't quite get it so just tried to reason with Haru.

"But... but I'm really nice and friendly!! Seriously, believe me, I will make you all really happy in our time as a squad! I'd even die for you!!"
