THE KIDNAPPER

CHAPTER 10

A call came in middle of our breakfast and the backup was ready. 

I knew that my darling sister was going to be fine and back to me in one piece. 

We left the table living the breakfast halfway and joined the rescue team. They were armed with all kind of guns and were accompanied by sniffer dogs. Dante and I led the way to where we had located them.

On the way, we were able to have conversation with my" future husband". He kept his eyes on the road and just spared me just a glance, moving his hand to my lap and reaching for my hand  and intertwined our fingers. Dante was happy after the event of last night and he vowed never to let me go. The moment was mutual and  that gave the courage i needed.

" I cant believe you slept with him. What were you thinking you silly girl? " my inner spirit couldn't stop accusing me. Do i really love him or it was out off  pressure am under doing due to the missing of my sister. What does he think of me  now a whore , slut or even a prostitute? does he think am a loose woman who sleeps with men she is not too familiar with ?

"A penny for your thoughts?" he interrupts with a smile and  that get my attention back

" Its nothing. i answer shyly.

"Do you know that you are pregnant?" Dante addressed  jokingly. 

That was unexpected.

"Just cut the crap, how can I be pregnant in just one night stand?" I was so mad at him for that joke. I imagined having a baby, where will I start from. My father was proud of me for being so sophisticated and well-mannered daughter to his friends. How can I just break his heart? Chirry was the most spoiled brat in our family, then I would turn to be the most pathetic daughter.

"Helloooo, what are you thinking about." Dante interrupted me from my thoughts once more. Am not pregnant and I can't be pregnant at this time." "Why, don't you love me dear?" He asked. What kind of a stupid question is that, of course i do love you but.........Shally, let us finish with chirry's issue then we will sit and discuss the way forward.

He drove in silence  and i brush off all the issue with Dante, focused with finding my sister. The forest looked more dense than yesterday .We stopped at a distance then i let the cops do their work.

The cottage was surrounded and each officer took his position. The dogs were standby in silences. Heavy guard had been deployed so I kept my figures cross.The attention was high to a point one could touch it. my heart was restless and i could tell something was wrong or would happen.I didn't want Dante to go but there, was my sister. I prayed for both of them to be safe for they made everything to me.

The raid begun, "I love you, and if anything happen to me......."

I covered Dante's mouth not to say what he was about to, for I knew he will be back."

he just looked at me for a moment." love you" he kissed me and left. My eyes filled with tears but I couldn't cry.

One of the offices stepped on a trap which sold them out. It was an explosion and the solder was dead. Gun fire broke out. I laid down in terror. All what I could see were the kidnappers dying one by one of gun shots.

The abducted ladies managed to escape and came out, exposing themselves to danger. Gunshots broke out again and all girls scattered everywhere in confusion each running for her dear life. chirry appeared  and she was calling out my name  in horror. she was confused to to were to run to and at that point i took off to me my sister at least  to save her from all this. I didn't care for what would happen to me or i would get shot. 

I out ran the policeman who was preventing me from run to her.  in a fraction of a second, i was rolling on the ground under a very tied grip. I was laying on the ground and a man was  on to of me  cuddling like a small baby. "what do you think you? Dante barked i furry. You want to get your self killed or what. 

But my sister needs my help ,she is crying out  for me to help her. "okay, i will will help her  but you have to promise me that you won't move form here. Okay baby

Dante took off to meet Chirry who was running toward us.

He grabbed and pulled her to the ground. She had been shot at the back. Dante was trying to help her to move from war ground, but he also got a bullet on his right kidney. They all laid there helpless. I wanted to run to them and help but I was pulled back. "We can't let you get short too ma'am." One of the solders restrained me.

The dogs managed to get the remaining kidnappers.

We got a chance to approach Dante and Chirry. They were blood too much. i was engulfed by a cloud of confusion and pain in my heart. I dint know what to do or who to help.Dante was ryinh to speak but the pain and bleeding was too much. His work mates came to him after calling an  ambulance for emergency. i held my sister on my lap and held dante's hand. in tearful eyes,'am sorry baby" those were the last words from Dante as he was taken to the ambulance.  I called out to Chirry to promise her that all be fine and help was here.  I kissed her fore head but she couldn't respond. Chirry died in my hands and I passed out.
