Black*Star has a Cousin?! Soul x Reader [On Hold]

Chapter 5

~~Le Time Skip ~~

(Y/N) POV

We finally reached the one they call Kid’s place.  His house looks amazing! It’s huge and definitely seems to be symmetrical.  We all walked inside, I was walking behind Black*Star because I did not want to get lost in here.  This place is huge, seriously how can one seriously not get lost in here.  Everyone walked into the living room and sat down on various seats. I sat on the end of the couch next to Black*Star. Next to him was Soul, and on the other couch across from us was Kid, Maka, and Tsubaki.  Patty sat in a couch chair (I’m sorry idk what they are called) between me and Kid.  Liz was in the kitchen looking for something to make, I’m assuming.

“Hey Kid, why don’t we just order pizza and put on some music” said Liz.

“Alright, but don’t order too much like last time. I don’t want to deal with any asymmetrical leftovers” replied Kid.

“Yeah, yeah. Alright, just give it a break with the symmetry now would ya.”

While waiting for the pizza to arrive, we all talked about random things.  I mostly listened to what they were saying because I did not attend their school or knew any of the people that they were talking about.  A good ten minutes passed before Black*Star whispered me a question.

“Hey Lone*Star, you alright? You seem awfully quiet lately.”

“Yeah, I’m fine” I replied in a whisper. I did not want anyone to notice that I was talking.  I don’t like talking much when I’m around people whom I’m not too familiar with.  But to my luck, it seems that Kid has notice my response to Black*Star.  He started to look in my direction.  This made me uncomfortable and a little nervous. ‘Please, please, please don’t say anything to me, I don’t really want to talk about anything. I don’t have much to say anyways.’

“(Y/N), is everything alright? You seem quiet all of a sudden” asked Kid.

‘No this is what I was trying to avoid. Everyone is staring at me. I really don’t want to answer any questions or anything they might ask me.’
“Uh…oh, yeah I’m fine”

“(Y/N), would you mind telling us about yourself, I’m pretty sure we all would like to get to know you better” continued Kid.

“Um…of course.” I looked towards the ground. I could feel my cheeks warming up. Oh please don’t let this blush be noticeable.
“So what is it that you want to know?”

“Hm, well for starters, how is it that you are Black*Star’s cousin?” asked Kid.

“Oh…well obviously you know that the Star Clan was destroyed by Lord Death. But my birth mother escaped with her life. You see, when Lord Death came to destroy the Star Clan, my mother was pregnant with me. ((Black*Star was already born and at least a year old)) My father, who was White*Star’s brother, was obsess with power and money just like White*Star. My mother did not approve and decided to leave the Clan for the rest of her life. Right when she was packing to leave, she heard screaming outside the house. She looked out the window and saw Lord Death killing of the Star Clan members. My mother was scared for her life and ran as fast as she could out of Lord Death’s sight. My mother ran to into the nearest city she could find. She ran for days, but when she came to the city people were already judging her for who she once was. Every day she received rude comments about the Star Clan. She was force to live on the streets, no one wanted to help her. She wrote everything that happened to her in a notebook, so when the day came for our departure I would understand what was happening. The day I was born was her last day on this earth. She died a few hours after giving birth to me. Luckily in those few hours she was able to bring me to an orphanage a few blocks from where she was hiding. The orphanage gladly took me in to their home. Before my mother left, she gave the notebook to the woman who took me in and told them to give me the notebook when I was old enough to understand everything. Afterwards, my mother left without saying anything else to me.”

After I finished telling everyone that little story, I could see Tsubaki, Liz, and Maka tearing up a bit. Patty seemed a little sad about the story but she didn’t seem to tear up like her sister.  I couldn’t really read Kid or Soul’s reaction to my story. Black*Star already knew what happened because I already told him four years ago, so he just had a straight face on.

“I’m sorry to hear that. I assume you know all of this because of the notebook your mother left for you”

“Yes, she wrote everything that happened to her, up until she left me in the orphanage, in the notebook.”

“How do you know if she died? I mean, she was living in the streets so she could’ve just dropped you off and went back to her life living in the streets, right?” asked Soul.

“Um…well…the caretakers in the orphanage told me they found her dead body a few blocks away from the orphanage in an alley.”

“Oh, well I’m sorry then” replied Soul.

“I just have one more question to ask you and Black*Star,” stated Kid.

“Okay, what is it?” replied Black*Star, who just started to pay attention to what was being said.

“How did the two of you meet?”

“To be honest, I don’t know how Black*Star found me. The caretakers told me that I had a visitor who claims to be my cousin and that he had the exact same star as me on his right shoulder.” I then looked at Black*Star to see what he would say how he found me. He never really gave me a straight answer when we talked about it four years ago.
