Chapter 10

I ended my story and waited for Black*Star’s response.  To my surprise he just sat there and looked like he was deep in thought.  Tsubaki came up to me and hugged me, I can hear soft sobs coming out of her. I hugged her back and just realized that I too had some tears slowly pouring out of my eyes. I hugged Tsubaki tighter and decided to just let the tears come out. There’s no point in fighting the pain away. I’m finally with Black*Star and his partner Tsubaki, I’m with people who actually love me and won’t judge me for my heritage.  Black*Star then came and joined the hug, we made it into a group hug and sat there hugging each other for a couple minutes.  We all let go and decided that it was best for us to head to bed since it was getting late. Tomorrow would be Saturday so we could hang out and talk more then. Tsubaki wished us goodnight and then went to her room to sleep. I went into Black*Star’s room and sat down on his bed. He handed me a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. I walked into the bathroom to change and wash my face a little. I walked into Black*Star’s room again and he started laughing at how big his clothes were on me. I pouted and smacked him on the head.

“Hey Lone*Star, if you want I could sleep on the inflatable bed and you can have my bed for tonight” Black*Star said while rubbing the back of his neck.

“No, it’s okay. I’ll sleep on the inflatable bed, you can have your bed. I don’t really mind at” I smiled.

“C’mon Lone*Star, I feel bad for what happened to you. I should’ve taken you with me when I first met you. It’s my fault that you were harmed. I should’ve been there for you when you had no one there with you. It’s my fault you were out there all alone for 4 years.” Black*Star started looking towards the ground with his fists clenched tight.

“Black*Star, you didn’t know. It’s not your fault, how could you have known I was out there looking for you,” I walk up to him and put my hand on his arm, “Hey, what I went through is in the past. I’m here now and that’s more important, right?”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right,” Black*Star smiled and started pushing the inflatable bed right next to his bed.

“Um, Black*Star what are you doing?”

“What does it look like I’m doing? I’m pushing the beds together so that we’ll have a bigger bed to sleep on. So I don’t have to be worried about you slipping away from me again.” Black*Star gave me a big grin.

“Oh…um…okay?” ‘I honestly have no idea what has gotten into his head, but I guess I shouldn’t question it too much. I mean it is Black*Star after all.’

We both crawled to the now large bed and got under the covers. To make things less awkward, we faced opposite directions and we went to sleep.
