01: The Beginning

And finally, today was the last day of summer vacation. Tomorrow Kim Y/N will be a freshman and her exhiliration was apparently transparent. She had worked hard on her vacation to provide herself with the basic commodities that she would need for the new academic session.

After having her bag packed, Y/N laid down in her bed staring at her room's ceiling. She was finally a freshman. She was thrilled, wondering about the new friends she would make and the ambivalent atmosphere of her school that she would be in. She had missed it all. Before drifting to sleep, she put up her alarm and went to sleep.

Y/N POV

Definitely, having slept at 9, I had woken up before the alarm had gone.

Well, I have formed a habit of waking up early because of work. I took a long relaxing bath and went down to the kitchen to make the breakfast. I made a full course breakfast and went to wake my lazy ass brother up.

"KIM NAMJOON, wake up",I yelled while pulling off his blanket.

"Just one more minute, shorty " the older one replied.

"Yahhh! don't call me shorty you gigantic monster",I said as I whipped his ass

Why can't I even sleep peacefully? "He whined as he woke up from his bed

"Not until I am here" I stuck out my tongue and ran quickly down to the kitchen

While I was eating, Namjoon came down already having his uniform worn, so I quickly went to dress up. To be honest, I didn't like my uniform the first time it had arrived but later after trying and seeing it for a week, I was absolutely fond of it. I hurriedly wore the uniform and did a light makeup.

Okay, Final glance at the mirror-Ready to go ! , I went downstairs.

'Let's go', Namjoon said as he picked up his bag from the sofa

END OF Y/N'S POV

Both of them were walking to the bus stop on their own when Namjoon suddenly started the conversation.

"Are you excited Y/N? " Namjoon asked

I have got mixed emotions, oppa" Y/N replied looking everywhere but in Namjoon's face.

"Don't be afraid, Y/N. Anyway, you're gonna see Seokjin", Namjoon said smiling creepily

Hearing that name Y/N face had brightened up. She had missed him a lot and finally, she would be going to the same school as him. Yes, Kim Seokjin was Y/N's crush since middle school and friends with her brother, Namjoon. Though Y/N was known for her badass attitude- good heart personality, she was timid near Seokjin. The only few words that she had uttered in front of him were "Hi" and "Bye". Namjoon was unquestionably shocked to see this side of his ever so daring sister. As coward as she was in front of him, she never dared to ask him out.

They finally reached school and Y/N was coming out of the bus with her mixed emotions. Will her high school life be the same as she had predicted ? Will she be happy? Will she live her dreams? As those questions were flooding on her mind and sweeping away her attention, Jungkook, Y/N's childhood friend came running after them and distracted her-a distraction she was utterly fond of.

"Pabo", he said smiling and hugged her

"I missed you", he added

"I missed you more", Y/N replied

"Hyung",Jungkook said as they bumped their fist

"You sure worked out a lot, Kook" Namjoon replied startled watching the younger's built physique

"A little more than before" he said shyly scratching his nape

With that little conversation that they had, Namjoon headed to meet his circle while Jungkook and Y/N were searching for their homeroom in the noticeboard. Y/N found her name in the section of I'E'. With a bit of hope she searched if Jungkook and Lisa's name were in the same homeroom but unfortunately it wasn't.

"Yahhh! I am in I 'E' " Y/N said

'I found, Lisa and I are in I 'A' ", he replied

"Wah, that's nice! you two are together", she said while walking away from the noticeboard

"Y/N , Kookie" ,somebody shouted from behind.

Well, both Y/N and Jungkook knew the owner of the voice. "LISA". She came running to them and hugged Y/N.

"I missed you so much my little pumpkin", Lisa said pulling herself off from the hug

"I missed you too Lisa", Y/N replied smiling widely

"Which homeroom are you both in? ", Lisa asked

"Well you and I are in same I'A' while Y/N is in I 'E' ", Jungkook said

Lisa looked upset and why wouldn't she be? Y/N and Lisa has been in same class and benchmates for about 4 years so it would be hard without Y/N by her side

"It's okay Lisa. I will be fine and you have Jungkook " ,Y/N said trying to convince Lisa

"Yah! Yah! Do you want to be late on the first day of the school? Let's go", Jungkook said while pulling Lisa to class and waving bye to Y/N.

The mixed feelings Y/N was having while coming to school has been decreasing since she met her bestfriends. Y/N was happy because she will be spending her high school with the ones she trusted the most, Lisa and Jungkook. She had met Lisa during her sixth grade while she has been friends with Jungkook ever since elementary school. After a short moment of her mind swaying, she snapped out in the reality and rushed to her homeroom. It was already filled with students. She looked around searching for a place. Someone waved at her and she diverted her attention to that direction. Well there she was, her middle school friend Chaeyoung.
