My POV :
Well I half - agree with that dialogue like yes we surely get what we want but there's this thing that always hits me in the head ....
That when someone says that isn't true ,I guess the problem is not that we don't get something we wish for ... Maybe the real problem is that we don't know what to wish for !
I mean sometimes we can be too affected by opinions or our belief systems that we loose sight of what we actually want .. !
Take for example ,if our parents wanted us to get good education to get a good job to get a good salary ( it's all about money )
& we like idiots start running in the race which truly isn't what we want ! Like we don't want money necessarily but the comfort or things we could buy from that money ...
Similarly you may still be running after something in this moment because someone feeded that belief in your mind that ,that's the thing you want ..( like they do in those irritating tv commercials )
But maybe you actually don't need it at all or you already have it ....
So whenever you find running after something may it be a person ,a thing , a feeling or an emotion .. Just check before wishing on that star that do you REALLY want it ? Or it's just a false desire ?
