My POV :

Firstly I truly love Imtiaz Ali 's movies ❤ because they surely have an amazing poetic way of describing life !
From Rockstar to Highway to Tamasha 👌

This dialogue is actually based on the above quote by Rumi ( a Persian Poet & Philosipher ) which means whatever it is that we're seeking or searching is actually seeking us :)

No offense to it because I truly believe that it's true ! Like I don't know how many of us realize this but whatever we have today ,right in this moment is something we wanted before at some point of our lives......

What happen is that usually we don't have much patience & awareness about things happening around us ,
We pray for things & we loose hope & move on but actually if we just look carefully around us we'll find that everyone we meet or everything we get ,is there with us just because there was a time when we prayed & worked hard to get it . But till the time we actually get it..we already start running after a new desire & start complaining about how we never have something we wanted !
But hey....hold on & just look around you & you'll be amazed to see all the things you have right now are just beautiful !!!!
There's a reason behind everything that happens with you & for every person to walk into your life , just look at the bigger picture ,in every moment & situation without judging & complaining ,maybe all the things happening right now , are taking you to a place where you always wanted to be .
Believe it or not but even today we're exactly where we were supposed to be...even if we think that this isn't a place where we should have been but secretly before we even realize ,we're starting off for our next destination ;)
So be aware & live happily !
