It had been a week since Soda's sudden outburst, and everything had been just fine. Well, fine until it happened again.
"What the hell, Soda!!" Raven screamed at her, confused and angry at the same time. "You need to stop doing this, now!"
"I'm not doing anything wrong! It's you that things I'm wrong!" Soda retorted.
"Whatever, do what you want. I'm going for a walk," The winged-girl replied solemnly. She walked out of the small apartment after grabbing her keys and hoodie. Once outside the apartment building, she wrestled her enormous wings into the slots cut out into her hoodie and put it on. She decided to go for a walk at the nearby park, so she started off that way, allowing herself to be engulfed in her thoughts filled with anger, confusion, and worry.
What does she mean 'Not doing anything wrong', she's been acting so strange lately, Raven thought as she walked into the park. She's been getting angry easier and it worries me that she's trying to go back to how we were without realizing it. She must know we can't do that anymore, right? She can be so hard to deal with someti- Raven was cut off from her thoughts as she bumped into someone. She had wandered next to the baseball fields and appeared to run into one of the people there.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" Raven blurted out quickly, as she looked up to she whom she ran into. He was a tall man, a good foot taller than her and had a baseball bat slung over his shoulder. He had short, brown hair and a bit of brown scruff along his jawline and upper lip. He was thin, yet muscular and had deep brown eyes. Raven couldn't help but think he was quite handsome.
"It's fine, happens all the time," he said in a deep yet cheerful voice. He had a smirk on his face that made Raven both hate and love this strange man. "What's your name, girl?"
"O-Oh, my name is Raven," she said after she caught herself staring. Her fluffy, fox ears bent down in embarrassment and nervousness.
"That's fitting," he said after glancing at her wings and feathery tail. Both of which had been pulled close to her body, the tips of her wings brushing the pavement. "My name is Liam, I coach little league here. What are you doing getting lost in your thoughts like that?"
"Just taking a walk after getting in a fight with my sister. She was being really hot-headed," Raven said. Why was she spilling things about her life to this man just because he asked? This wasn't any of his business but she felt like she could trust him, even if he did seem really sarcastic and somewhat egotistical.
"Ah, siblings. They can be a pain sometimes. That's my brother over there, Blake," Liam said pointing to one of the other men cheering on the small baseball players. "Me and him get into fights a lot too, so I get it."
"Yeah," Raven replied without much, if any, emotion. Why did she feel so strange and nervous around Liam. Is she intimidated by him? No, she wasn't that easily intimidated. So what was it about this man that made her trust him so much?
"Hey, sweetheart, I know I'm hot as hell but can you not stare so much?" Raven jumped a little as she realized what she was doing.
"O-Oh, s-sorry! I just-sorry," she stumbled over the words, making her blush at her own stupidity. She looked at the ground and moved a piece of brown hair out of her face.
"Woah, no need to freak out over it," he said still smirking. He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, and she allowed it. WHY?? She knew close to nothing about this man, yet she let him touch her?? She couldn't wrap her head around it.
"Sorry, I'm just not that good at social interactions," Raven admitted.
"Hey, do you want to stick around and join me for lunch after the game?" Liam quizzed. She thought about it. Let's see, I know close to nothing about this man. He seems pretty egotistical since his last comment, he's sarcastic as all hell, but aren't we all. After a moment she replied.
"Sure, what the hell."
