The year is 2294.
The world is officially destroyed. A sliver of the population has managed to survive in a space ship for the last five years, but now the oxygen is beginning to run out. Space is lacking as humanity keeps reproducing. The food is turning scarce.
A new planet was needed.
And a new planet was found.
That planet was yet to be explored, so they sent twenty of you, the ones affected by radiation, the Subjects, to explore it.
Lucky. You.
...
Or not.
------
In the year 2086, the world was officially untamable. In a struggle for power, everything was lost to the pits of hell. Chaos and anarchy reigned through the streets. Terror drowned the people and hope ate their homes. Murders turned into a common event, where it would even happen outside your own window.
Stealing was now necessary in order to live. Food was scarce, most of the water was contaminated, and humans kept destroying every last bit of pure life.
There was no use for any sort of Government since there was nothing to govern over. Whoever wanted to step forward and try to rule the crowds was considered insane. The places that had once marked history were now rubble and ruins. Humanity had lost its course.
It had lost its purpose.
Most of the crowds were now just seeing how to survive the minute, forgetting about their brothers and sisters, their children, their parents. The once united civilization was now separated, all enemies. One against everyone.
In order to save these people, a sacrifice would have to happen. Dedication. Raising memories that now seemed like a distant dream. Remembering how the world used to be, yes, that would be the most difficult task of all.
The only problem is no one wanted to go through that trouble. No one wanted to save people who were apparently beyond saving. So they decided to be merciful, The Ones who used to have power, that is.
They eradicated everyone.
That was their display of mercy.
Each and every single person who wasn't of use to them were killed. And thus the story changed.
What would have been a dystopian era now turned into a space civilization. The few people who were chosen to stay alive boarded the
S.A.V. I.O.R, a giant interstellar ship the size of a city.At first, everything was fine. Supplies were more than enough. But then humanity started to reproduce.
Again. And again.
And again.
What began as a small crew of thirty-five people was now two hundred and seventy-four.
Supplies began running out and the Ones in Order began to panic. They needed a new planet.
And they found one, with oxygen and good grounds for growing food. Yet this place was completely unknown. Yet to be traversed. So they needed scouts, people who's deaths wouldn't matter.
That's where each and every one of you come in.
You are an experiment.
You are not considered human, even though you sure as hell are.
You see after they eradicated three-fourths of the entire population, the lucky bit of you managed to survive, except you were affected with radiation.
Strange things were happening to your minds, your bodies were morphing, changing, and only for the better.
You were turning stronger, some faster, some smarter, some invisible. The Ones in Order were terrified of losing control over these new phenomenons and thus they imprisoned each and every one of you.
Being in separate cells for years, you knew each other's voices but not each other's faces. Some of you became friends but some of you despised each other.
You were all considered animals, the most dangerous beings on the intergalactic ship, or so you thought.
There was someone far more dangerous than you, any of you, and it looked nothing short of weak.
Oh, and one last detail, now that you're here. The radiation affected your aging process, meaning that even if you've been in that cell for over two hundred years and know every single crevice in it, you're probably only about three years older yourself.
Good luck with trying to die.
Or wait, wasn't it not dying?
