As I sat at the table waiting for Kylan to return from mingling, I couldn't help but feel anxious. We'd checked out of our hotel room this morning, so I assumed that we were going to get back on the road and head back to Daytona Beach. Unfortunately, Kylan had paid for tickets to this Brunch/Day Party so he wanted to get his money's worth and come.

I scanned the room and I spotted Kylan across the room talking to a group of women. I laughed, knowing that they were all probably flirting with him, not knowing that he wasn't interested. I think he genuinely enjoyed mingling and socializing so I didn't see anything wrong with what he was doing. He was just making connections with people.

We'd already been here four days and I was all partied out. Between the house party Wednesday, the step-show and after-party on Thursday and the picnic and it's after-party on Friday...I was tired. I hadn't particular enjoyed any event more than the other, but I appreciated Kylan's efforts to make sure that I got out and enjoyed myself for a few days. Kylan caught a bad rep amongst our other nine line brothers for being 'a lot' but he was honestly a great line brother.

I was slowly eating the Chicken and Waffles that I'd grabbed from the buffet when I saw a cute light skinned man approaching me. I was sitting in a corner by myself so I knew that he was approaching me. I forced myself to smile as he walked up and smiled.

"Hey, why are you all over here by yourself? There's a whole day party going on around you and you're sitting in the corner by yourself." The guy said, smiling.

"Excuse me, do I know you?" I said with a smirk as the guy pulled the chair across from me out and sat in it.

"You don't, but you should. I'm CJ." The guy said, extending his hand out for me to shake it. I instantly spotted his Black and Gold wristband, I realized that he was an Alpha.

CJ Brown

"Nice to meet you, CJ. I'm Mitchell. Why should I know you?" I said as I reached out and shook his hand. CJ smiled and replied.
