Allen Rina- Alias: Draco Dragon
Bubbles of nervousness, fear, and curiosity bumped against each other in my stomach. The walls of the dorm in my room were barren and I could hear the faint drumming of music coming from the opposite room. I took in a deep breath and let it out.
Ever since I was young I've wanted to protect my sisters. It doesn't matter I'm the youngest. I'm what my father used to say, "The man of the family."
The man.
I'm not sure the man is supposed to be rescued by his sisters all the time, or need backup constantly, even if it's just Funneh.
I turned my gaze to the ceiling. There was a small part in the corner where the paint was peeling off. The drooping paint made it look like a frowning face.
My dorm mate, Evan, was annoying. Wanted to talk, to 'hang', wanted to play video games (even though I like them, I'm not playing with a random stranger), and wanted to know a lot about Funneh. Practically everything. He would be an obstacle.
The music was getting louder and it wasn't helping me sleep. I stood onto my feet and marched to Evan's room.
"Draco? What's up? I though you were asleep," Evan said. There was a drum and a guitar behind him and music was blasting out of a large speaker.
"I've been trying to sleep, but you're music is keeping me up," I said pointedly. Even chuckled. "Sorry, I'll grab headphones," he said and spun around in a desk chair. Satisfied, I walked back to my room and climbed into bed, waiting for sleep to carry off all my worries.
All my thoughts on Yuna Wayne.
Alec Flame
Once I'd finish walking Funneh to her dorm, I ran home. I was fifteen minutes late and Aly freaked out whenever I was five minutes late. Needless to say she freaked out a lot.
Since my mum pretty much runs the school, she lives close by, so I live at home. I swung the door open after inserting the key and heard shuffling and soft sobbing noises. Curiously, I peeked into the kitchen.
My mother was hunched over and rubbing her face, staring directly at a paper. Aly was sitting on a chair and looking blankly at the wall.
"What's going on?" I asked. My sister turned to me, a frown etched into her face.
"Mum's job," she said slowly. Aly looked back at the wall before suddenly stalking off. I picked up a paper strewn on the counter and read it out loud quietly.
"Dear Mrs. Flame, you seem to lack the ability to properly run a school, the way you've raised your son a clear example. Also, the fact you are on the verge of losing your home with the decreasing amount of money you have. If you lose your home, you cannot continue to be headmistress of this school. We have decided to dock your pay and emplace tighter rules and restrictions to help guide you. If you fail to run this school the correct way, you will be fired. Signed by Board of Education," I whispered.
I choked and began blinking rapidly. What? I remember the look on mum's face when she was hired. She smiled. She dragged us to a restaurant, and even though I scowled most of the time, I was actually having some fun.
And now it was all going to go down the drain.
I would go back to staying out late and stealing cash, Aly would go back to staying over at friend's houses to get a decent meal and mum would go back to staying home for four hours to sleep then head back to work.
I don't want that. My family doesn't deserve that.
I ran out of the house. I ran and ran, not bothering where I went. I don't care where I go, I just need air. I needed to calm down.
There was a buzzing in my pocket and remembered I had brought my phone. I was about to decline a call before I saw the number. Ayano. Would she pay me for a weird task? I really needed it. I hastily accepted.
"Alec. I need a job done, I'll pay a thousand."
"What? A thousand? Yes!"
"Good, I want you to somehow get a girl with ridiculous green haired girl named Trixie to the outside of my dorm."
"That's it?"
"And knock her out. If anyone asks about her the next few days, say you saw her boarding a bus with a suitcase and back pack."
"What? Ask about her? Wait, Ayano... you're not..."
"What? You've already led others girls to their doom."
I gagged. Those jobs, I killed people? I planted fake evidence, didn't I? Those forged letters, the stolen items. When Ayano asked me to get pills, when she asked me to get an axe from a few town over, she killed someone, didn't she?
"I'm surprised you're that dim-witted. Now you're just participating more in the kills, nothing that different. Rumor has it you need the money."
I did need it, but to kill?
"No, I-"
"Alec, if you say no, this will end our business. And don't even think about calling the police, you helped the murders, we'll go down together."
Say no Alec, say no. Say freaking no!
"F-fine."
A dry cackling.
"Good boy~"
I hung up and threw my phone at the floor. Thankfully it was grass, and when I inspected it there was only a small crack. I said yes. Why?
Why, why, why?
Why?
For the money, for Aly and mum, I told myself. That's the only reason. So we could be happy. That's right, no other reason.
There was a sharp tap on my shoulder and I spun around angrily.
"What-" I began, but was cut off.
"I'm Yuna Wayne, do you know where I can find such a person known as Funneh Blue and the 'Krew'?"
A/N- Chapter done! Finally! I had major writer's-block, but I'm good now! Yuna is finally here! That took much longer then expected. So, last time I kinda forgot about the Q and A, so send in questions 'cause next chapter is the Q and A! I've also decided that there's going to be two Q and As. One for me (the one next chapter) and one for characters. The one for characters will hopefully happen when we reach 1,500 reads. The reason it's so high is because I want the story to progress before a Q and A for characters. But that's if we reach 1,500. I really hope we do! Welp, bye guys and stay awesome!
