"CHARGE!!!" Searipper screamed, plunging into the throng of armored dragons that stood before them. The rest of the army soon followed, and as they did, the dragons in the other army started towards them as well. Starsand darted through the meelee, shoving his barbed tail through several dragon's chests and snapping other dragon's necks.

Star spotted his sister going claw to claw with a dragon who was much bigger than her, an IceWing, by the looks of her. "Go back home, half-breed!" the IceWing snarled. Star shot through the ranks of fighting dragons, but Searipper got there first. "You do not ever call anyone Half-breed!" the SeaWing NightWing hybrid snarled, steam rising from her nostrils, right before she drew back a clenched talon and a sent a violent message in the form of a fist into the IceWing's face.

"Yow!" the IceWing said, glaring at Searipper. "You'll pay, Hal- AAAIIII!!!" Searipper shot a stream of boiling water out of her mouth, straight into the IceWing's eyes. The IceWing fell to the ground with a CRACK and a shriek. "That'll show 'em! No one messes with my friends!" Searipper roared. Then she flew off to face another attacker. Starsand saw Sunset whirl around and catch a SandWing's throat in her talons, slashing it and dropping the pale yellow body to the ground below with a shudder of disgust. "You okay, Sunset?" "Yeah."

After several more hours, the remaining members of the opposing army retreated. As the troops of the HUC headed back to the base, with some dragons having more scratches than others, Star saw his mother flying along beside Sunset, getting to know her and who she was. "Hi, Sunset! Hi, Mother!" "Hello, Star." Grain said. her nicked ear flicking as she listened to Sunset talk. 'I'll give them time.' Star thought, smiling as he flew off with the rest of the troops. 'Then, in the next battle, I won't hesitate. I'll charge the dragons opposing us. I'll attack them, like Searipper did. For my parents, for Sunset, and for all the hybrids still trapped under the Brotherhood's claws.'
