Starsand walked through the Hybrid Underground Community base, going to visit Searipper and Spruce's new dragonet, who was due to hatch in a few minutes, according to the message that Star had received from Sea. Sky was already there, he was told, as well as Grain, Current, and Sunset, who happy to be visiting her new 'neice'. Star got there just before the egg cracked. The egg was a dark red, with swirls of blue and silver mixed in. There were several starburst shaped cracks already marring the surface of the smooth shell.
Soon after, the egg shattered, and a dragonet with a SkyWing body, SeaWing fins, glow-in-the-dark stripes, and NightWing wings sat in the center of the shards of eggshells. "What are you going to call your dragonet, dear?" Current asked, her green eyes shining, as she looked happily at her daughter. "I was thinking... maybe Eventide?" "That's a very good name for our dragonet, Stormbrander." "Eventide. A good name." Current said. "You could call her Tide for short." Grain added.
"My little neice's name is Eventide! Yeah!" Sunset shouted happily. "Good job, Sea. You too, Spruce." Sky said. "Thanks, guys." Spruce said. "No, problem." Grain said. "Hello, Eventide." Sea said softly. Eventide reached up to her mother's face, touching it with her small talons. "Welcome to the world."
