There are are many types of romantic love. I will tell you about them. (Please, no rude comments. If you don't like LGBTQ+, then leave.
Straight- One gender dating the opposite gender.
Gay- It roughly means one person dating the same gender as themselves. It is often used for male-male relations.
Lesbian- This is the term used for woman who are in relationships only with women.
Bi- Sexual/Romantic relationships with any gender, but are selective. (Me!)
Pan- Same as Bi, but aren't selective.
Aro/Ace- This is a term used to mean when a person feels no sexual/romantic feelings.
Tip: If your parents have made their dislike of LGTBQ+ clear or you aren't sure how they'll react if you come out, make sure you have a safe place if they kick you out.
Oh, and if you're considering telling your in-the-closet friend's parents about their child's sexuality... DON'T. It's seriously not cool. Wait for them to tell in their own time.
