1. Don't tell them your name. Names have power. Use a nickname or an alias.
2. Don't eat their food. It traps you in Fairyland.
3. Don't talk about gold or children. Fairies love both, especially children, who they exchange for changelings. Beautiful children are especially at risk.
4. Fairy rings are circles of mushrooms. It's where the fae dance and sing. Seeing one is good luck, but if you step in one, it is bad luck and you could be kidnapped. One night in Fairyland could equal a century in the human world.
5. Don't thank them. Debts owned to the Fae are very bad. Don't sign contracts either.
6. Iron repels them.
7. Grovel. Fairies are proud.
8. If you feel warm tingles on your skin, things go missing and reappear somewhere else, you smell flowers, or heard giggling, that means there's fairies nearby.
9. Fairies don't feel romantic love like we do. So don't fall in love with them.
10. If you try to take power through them, it'll end up them taking power through you.
