Yes, I do realize I let out a few egos; but it would be really hard to narrate about 12 different characters as well as the reader. Author out!
Mages and Wizards
(Y/N)'s POV)
I sat at the wooden table in my room and set down the willow bark wand I was messing around with.
As usual, I was left behind while the others had went out to gather potion ingredients but made me stay behind. I huffed in frustration as I picked up another spell book. I shoved it back onto the shelf in aggravation after failing to preform the spell it gave. I went down stairs and saw the others walk through the doors.
I had seven brothers; from oldest to youngest it was Jack, Anti, Shneep, Marvin, Chase, Robbie and Jackie-boy-man. Then there was me. The youngest.
"Hey (Y/N)! What're you doing?" Jack called; he was always happy.
"Not much, you know, since I can't go anywhere." I grumbled. It was true, I never really got to leave our little cabin.
"Aw come on (Y/N), it can't be that bad." Chase said, fixing his hat. I rolled my eyes and went back to my room. I cracked open another spell book and began to read. I heard a knock on the door. It creaked open and I turned around.
"Hey (Y/N)."
"Hey Marvin. What do you want?" I ask turning back to the book.
"Well, I know that you want to get out more...so I was thinking of taking you with me when I go out tomorrow." I spin back around and hug Marvin.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"Don't gush all over me. It's embarrassing." He complained. I laughed but still hugged him. "Now come on, dinners ready." I nodded happily and went down the stairs with Marvin right on my tail. We sat down at the table; Anti on my right and Robbie on my left.
"What is...(Y/N)...so happy...about...?" Robbie gurgles. I look to Marvin.
"I'm thinking of taking (Y/N) with me when I got out tomorrow." Marvin says, taking a bite of the slice of bread he was given. The table went silent.
"Are you insane?! (Y/N), you know you are not allowed to leave." Jack stated.
"I'll be fine. I can handle myself, plus Marvin will be with me." I retort. Jackie-boy-man shakes his head as well.
"(Y/N), you don't know whats out there. You could get hurt." I glared at Jackie.
"Maybe I would know if you let me out of this cabin more often!" I snarled. "You guy leave the cabin whenever you want, but I'm basically a prisoner here!"
"I agree vith Jackie, you shouldn't go." Shneep says. I glare at him as well before standing up.
"I lost my appetite. I'm going upstairs." I spouted. Before anyone else could say any differently, I sulked to my room and locked the door. I threw myself on the bed face first and sighed. I felt a slight nudge and looked up and gave a small smile to Sam. He curled up on the bed next to me and gave me a look that asked, what happened? I flopped back down on the bed, this time facing the ceiling. "The others won't let me leave this stupid cabin! I don't know why the won't let me leave. I'm really good with defensive magic, I can somewhat do healing magic, I know how to fight...it's just so unfair!" I sigh again. There was a knock on the door.
"(Y/N)? I wanna talk." Jack muttered. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm sorry but visiting hours at the prison are over. You'll have to come back tomorrow." I announced. I heard him grumble and walk away. I turned back to Sam, who was looking out the window; his big blue eye glued to the silver moon. He goes over to my desk and I reluctantly follow. He picks up a pencil with his tail and goes over to a piece of paper that was strewn on the table. He quickly scribbled a few things down and I picked up the paper.
Why don't you just run away? I chuckled. "They're my family, I couldn't if I wanted too." More knocking on the door.
"(Y/N)...Robbie wants...a hug..." I roll my eyes with a smirk and open the door reluctantly. I scowl at the zombie as Jack has his arm crossed behind him.
"You...are a clever zombie." I looked at Robbie with a smirk. He gives me a hug before limping off to who knows where. "What do you want?"
"I just want to talk with you." He replied. I groaned and let him in my room.
"So? What do you want?" I ask again, annoyed that he just stood there.
"You know I don't like the idea of you going." He said.
"If that's what you're here to talk about you can leave." I hiss. He keeps his cool and continues.
"I don't want you going with Marv tomorrow, but I will let you come when everyone is going out. Okay?" I smile and nod.
"Thanks Jack. That means the world to me." He smiles and walks out, Sam following him. I flop back onto the bed and look at the ceiling. I pull the wand off the nightstand where I placed it and began to wave it around muttering a spell. In a matter of seconds a cloud of smoke appeared and morphed into a bird, flying around the room. I chuckled and with a flick of my wrist, it disappeared. I sighed before getting into pajamas and walking downstairs. I saw Marvin, Shneep and Robbie out cold on the couch.
I laughed quietly and pulled blankets over each figure before heading upstairs. Jack was out in his room as well as Jackie and Anti in their respective rooms. I shut the doors and head to my room and gaze out the window; listening to the sounds around the cabin I was confined in. The chirping of the crickets, the slight pitter patter of rain and even the light snores of my brothers as they slept. I soon turned over to my nightstand where Sam had recuperated and fallen asleep. I closed my eyes and let the calming sensation of sleep wash over my body.
