Kristen's Pov

"So, any plans for today?" Jonah asks as we walk out the restaurant.

"Not that I know of, what about you?"

He shakes his head, "Maybe hit the beach. You should come. You can bring Alice along if you want. Pretty sure Daniel won't mind."

Normally I would deny right on the spot, but I haven't seen them in awhile due to the distance and them going on tour. "Sure." How bad could it be?

"Woah, actually?" Jonah laughs, telling the others.

"You're joking right?" Corbyn asks.

"Yeah, um. Kristen and the beach doesn't mix well together. Remember that time, five years ago, where-" Jack chimes in but I cut him off.

"Do you want me there or not?" I blurt out frustratedly. The four of them exchange a laugh and agree to meet in their room in thirty minutes. As we head our separate ways, I realized Alice is missing along with my phone.

I must of left it inside. Hopefully no one cleaned the table yet. Rushing in the room, I pass through many impatient costumers and their noisy children.

Once I make my way to the back of the restaurant, the table was already filled. "Ugh," I groan. Right when I was about to search the places lost and found a voice caught my attention.

"Well, then read my lips. Nothing happened," Zach mouth out the last part. I hide behind a wall nearby where I got a clear view. Should I really be spying on them? It just feels wrong. "And nothing is going to happen. Not when I still feel guilty about not telling Kristen about the-" Zach take a brief scan to make sure no one is around.

I quickly shift my body to the right before poking my head back out. What is he talking about? And what does he feel guilty for?

"The date thing. Why can't we just tell her?" I hear him loudly whisper.

"Date?" I say aloud without knowing, earning a few glares from the people around me. "Uh-just ignore that," I give a fake laugh before turning back to their table.

"How many times do I have to repeat myself? I don't want her to get mad when nothing happened that night," Alice says in a stern voice.

"Oh look, you do know what nothing happened means? Who knew?"

Alice then slaps his arm firmly, "I'm serious. Plus, you agreed not to tell her. Remember?" He nod his head and look out in the distance.

"Crap," I mutter, leaning my back against the wall. Please tell me he didn't see or hear me. To be safe, I pressed my ear to the wall and surprisingly, I can still hear their conversation.

"Good. Also, let's never bring up this topic ever again."

Zach sigh from the other side of the wall. "Alright."

"Okay, now let's get out of here and if anybody asked where we were, let's go with the regular excuse. Bathroom."

"Got it," Zach replies. I hear the sound of their chairs moving across the floor. Oh no. I run out of the restaurant as fast as my feet can carry me. To my surprise, the boys are still outside.

"I thought you guys went up to your rooms?" I ask, trying to catch my breath.

"We did, we just forgot Zach," Daniel says.

I nod, "Oh."

"Why are you still here?" Jack questions.

"Forgot Alice."

"Ah," they all say together. At that exact moment, Zach and Alice came out the doors side by side.

I feel my chest burning as my stomach ties into a knot. Sweat starts to drips down my forehead and onto the shirt.

"Are you okay Kristen?" Corbyn asks with concern.

"Yeah, it's just the temperature. I can't take the heat any longer," I lie, wiping the sweat off with my right arm.

"But you live in Los Angeles," Jonah joins.

"That's enough," I say with anger in my voice.

"Um, okay then. We'll see you guys in about an half an hour," Corbyn speaks as they march out to the elevator.

At this point, I was a mess. "Are you sure your okay? You're sweating more than usual."

"I'm fine. It's just the heat wave."

"If you say so, by the way you forgot your phone in the restaurant."

I take it from her hands and forced myself into a smile, "Thanks, we should probably go change and pack for the beach."

"Oh, you finally agreed? We should take this surf lesson together, I hear-"

I abruptly slap my hand on my her mouth, in hopes of silence. "Don't push it," I warn before walking to the elevator.
