Chapter 4

When I stay the night at Abby's it means I have to use her clothes if I don't bring any. I wasn't thinking when I walked to her house that maybe I should've gotten some before I left. I told her I would wear what I wore last night because I didn't feel like wearing anything else of hers right now. Plus there was more like what I was wearing in her clothes. She went seasonal shopping for clothes. Right now school just started so she had summer time clothes. We walked to school and Jacob was standing outside in the parking lot with his jock friends.
"Jen" he called out. He waved me over to him and both Abby and I walked over to him. He pulled me to his side and kissed my forehead.
"Guys this is my girl. Jen this is Mark, Brandon, and Sam" he said.
"I know. I've known them my whole life" I replied smiling at them. I wrapped my arms around his waist and leaned my head against his chest.
"Yeah man we all go way back" Brandon said.
"Yeah Abby is my cousin" Sam replied. Abby stuck her tongue out at him. Mark laughed. I looked up at Jacob.
"How was last night after I left?" He asked. I shrugged. I got saved by the bell. We all walked in. Jacob had his arm around my shoulders and I had my one arm around his back.

By first period everyone was talking about Jacob and I. I got the new kid is the only thing I've heard other than the fact some thought maybe I was into girls since I haven't dated anybody. I didn't care. They talk however they want. When I got to lunch Jacob had two trays in his hands. He smiled and nodded over to mine and Abby's usual table. I followed him and sat down. He set a tray in front of me and I started eating. Abby showed up a few minutes later with Brandon following her. He sat down next to her.
"Does anybody have the bio assignment on them? And if so can I copy it?" Abby said. Jacob took his out and handed it to her. She took it and started copying it on hers.
"Are you coming to practice?" Brandon asked Jacob.
"Yeah. I gotta talk to the coach and see if I can get on the team" Jacob answered. I was too busy stuffing my face to ask what be was trying out for.
"Jen and I will be there for you guys after school" Abby said without looking up from her paper.
"For what sport?" I asked with food in my mouth. Jacob laughed shaking his head.
"Soccer" he answered. I nodded and continued eating.
Abby and I walked up the bleacher when the coach said he would give Jacob a try during practice to see how good he was. We sat down in the middle and I took out my homework.
"You're boyfriend is on the field getting hot and sweaty. Why aren't you watching and drooling over him?" She asked. I looked up at him.
"I wanna get this done before I get home and see if my parents are still fighting" I answered.
"Good point" she replied. I looked back down at the math problems I had to solve.
I finished the few problems I had a few minutes before their practice was over. I guess Jacob was good enough for their team because he made it. I got up and grabbed my books. I walked down the bleachers with Abby following behind me. I went to the fence and Jacob came over. I scrunched my nose at his smell.
"I'm gonna go clean up and then I can take you home" he said.
"Yeah you really smell" I replied smiling.
"Thanks babe" he responded smiling.
"Oh and I wanna go hang out with Abby. She was thinking maybe her, Brandon, you and me can all go to the beach or something" I said.
"Sounds good" he replied. He leaned over and kissed my cheek. He ran over to the locker rooms to change and clean up. I looked behind me at Abby.
"We gotta stop at my house yo get bathing suits" she said. I nodded.
"Maybe I can get mine" I replied.
"Or you can use the one you keep at my house" she suggested.
" I only wear that one at your house or mine. Out in public I don't know" I said.
"You'll be okay with Jacob there. Plus me and Brandon" she replied.
"I guess so" I responded. It was a half an hour before the guys came out all cleaned and smelling nice. We all got into Jacobs blazer and drive off to Abby's house.
