You know that feeling when you are being watched. I turn around only to see a green, hideous creature with sharp claws with evil gleaming in its eyes. "Hello Iman", says the creature. 'Run', I think.
I take off running as fast as I can. I've been running my entire life from danger. My parents enrolled me in different types of self dense classes in order to protect myself, but that wouldn't be helpful in every danger I face.
I find a dumpster and hide in it. "Come out wherever you are", the creature says in a mischievous tone. "I don't want to hurt you. I'm only here to warn you", it says with no sincerity.
I shudder at the creatures words. I just know that this creature can't be trusted. I've encountered many enemies who claim to be a friend instead of a foe, but never have I come across such a creature. I have never encountered an enemy that wasn't human. To say I am flabbergasted is an understatement.
I hold my breath and hope that this hideous creature goes away. "If you don't come out, I will just have to sniff you out", the hideous creature says.
If this thing wants a fight, I'll give him one. I come out of the dumpster and step behind the creature. I put on my brave face. Thank goodness it is 2 a.m. I would hate for this to happen in broad daylight.
"Hey, I'm right here", I boldly say. ,"Finally", he says. Before I can even say a word, the green creature grabs me by the neck and starts squeezing. "Help" I try to scream out.
"At last ,I will be the one who finally kills the chosen one. Ha Ha ha ha"! laughs the creature.
Suddenly I feel an urge of strength and adrenaline. The next thing I know is that the world around me is frozen in time.
I try to get loose from the grip of the creature, but I just end up breaking off the hands of the creature. 'How am I so strong?' I think.
I reach up for the neck of the creature and twist it until it is apart from the body. I then rip the creatures body in half.
I look down at my hands to see flames dancing on my finger tips. "What is going on with me?" I freak out.
I just get the instinct to burn the creature until it is no longer. And, that is exactly what I do. With just one touch, the fire spreads.
Not knowing how to make the fire go away, I start to panic. I just close my eyes and hope that it goes away. When I open my eyes, I am relived that that the dancing flames are no longer.
I look down to see that the body of the creature is gone. There isn't any ashes or evidence of the creature. I start to feel weak. Close my eyes and wish for the flames to come back, but they don't.
What is going on? I know I'm not imagining things. This can't be real.Author's note:
