Rachel's POV
"How do you get here?" I asked Adam, "You surly didn't get hit in the head with a mirror frame."
"I have no idea," Adam shrugged, "All I did was close my eyes and I was here. I heard you sing and needed to see and talk to you."
"Um," How was I going to explain this, "I changed the musical a bit, but we need to get out of here. Who knows who's listening."
Adam nodded, understanding right away, we headed to the front steps of the Opera Populaire and sat down.
"How much did you change?" Adam asked me, "We can then make a plan to get you home."
I nodded and explained all that's happened so far. Once I finished he nodded.
"So what we can do is, you don't rip off the mask in Point of No Return and run off the stage. I can get us a coach and we can get the heck out of here. I don't know how we'll be able to get back to the real world, but we'll figure it out."
"Okay," I nodded, "Sounds like a plan."
"Hey, do you remember the dance for Footloose still?" Adam asked, "I don't even know what it is anymore because Sophie is my new partner and she's screwing everyone up."
"Of course I still remember," I laugh.
We start dancing at our upbeat tempo. He took me into a spin and dip and lifted me onto his shoulders so I was laying flat. We spun and I flipped down and we continued to dance. People passing by were staring at us weird, but we didn't care. No one knew what we were doing but us.
At this moment Christine walked out and saw the two of us, "Who's this?" she asked me.
"Christine, meet Adam," I introduced the two of them, "he's the one who I danced with at the Masquerade Ball."
"Of course," Christine shook his hand, "I'm Rachel's sister. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Pleasure's all mine," Adam said with a smile.
"Just wanted to let you know that curtain is in two hours," Christine told me, "so you should get ready soon."
"Right," I said with a smile, "See you then," Christine walked back in and I turned to Adam, hugging my friend, "I'm so glad I don't have to do this alone."
"I'll wait in the wings for you," Adam said and ushered me to go. I nod and go back inside.
Erik's POV
I saw my Angel sing. I see how much I've hurt her. I can't forgive myself, unless I can talk to her. This is why tonight is so important.
I watch her walk off of the stage and a young man grabs her from behind. I nearly go out to let my Punjab lasso do it's work, but Rachel turned to him and started talking with him. They seemed to be close, though I've never seen him before.
Suddenly Rachel leads him out of the opera house and I can only watch them talk outside. I see them dance, and I feel a spark of jealousy spark in my chest. Christine comes at one point, then leaves. When the two stood to leave, they did something that made my blood boil. They embraced and smiled at each other. We can't have that.
Rachel's POV
"I'm ready for this," I look into the dressing room mirror and adjust the costume so, it's ready to go. I pinned my hair in a half up half down look and there was a knock at my door. I opened it and there Adam was.
"You ready?" he asked me.
"As ready as I'll ever be," I answered. He took my hand and escorted me to the wings of the stage. I watched the performance from the wings.
