Rachel's POV
"Down once more to the dungeons of my black despair," Erik sang, as he rowed the gondola, "Down we plunge to the prison of my mind.
Down the path into darkness deep as hell."We reached the inlet of land, I was trying to speak, but I didn't know what to say instead of apologizing.
"Why do you asked was I bound and chained to this cold and dismal place?" Erik turned to me with anger, I stumbled back, almost into the water, "Not for any mortal sin, but the wickedness of my appalling face!"
"Erik please-" I was about to speak when I was cut off by the mob.
"Track down this murderer, he must be found," I heard them chorus, "Track down this murderer, he must be found."
"They're coming for Erik, you need to get out of here," I told him, but he didn't appear to listen.
"Hounded out by everyone," Erik ranted, his tone becoming sadder, "met with hatred everywhere, no kind words for anyone, no compassion everywhere. Rachel why?" he came up to me nearly shaking me by the shoulders, "Why?!"
"I didn't want to see you be killed."
A/N: Will be Third Person POV for a while now.
In another part of the catacombs, Raoul, Madame Giry, and Adam were running to find Rachel.
"Keep your hand at the level of your eyes," Madame Giry warned.
"At the level of your eyes," Adam and Raoul nodded their heads.
They heard the mob above, "At the level of your eyes, at the level of your eyes!"
Madame Giry told them, "This is as far as I dare go."
"Thank you," the men told her as she turned back. They ran through the water, as the mob continued to sing as they descended through the catacombs.
"Track down this murderer, he must be found!
Track down this murderer, he must be found!
Hunt out this animal, who runs to ground!
Too long he's preyed on us, but now we know
The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera is here
Deep down inside!
He's here, the Phantom of the Opera...
He's here, the Phantom of the Opera..."Back in the lair, Erik managed to get Rachel to comply with putting on the wedding dress. Let's just say she wasn't too happy to do so.
"Have you gorged yourself, at last, in your lust for blood?" Rachel asked, trying to get him to change his mind and his ways, "Am I now to be prey to your lust for flesh?"
Erik turned to her coldly, wanting to tell her she was beautiful, but her words hurt, "That fate which condemns me to wallow in blood, has also denied me the joys of the flesh."
He sighs as he remembers the curse, "This face- the infection, which poisons our love."
"How many times to I have to say I don't care?" Rachel asked, but he seemed to be trapped in that dark place in his mind.
"This face, which earned a mother's fear and loathing," Erik sang as I took the veil off on the bride dummy, "A mask, my first, unfeeling scrap of clothing," he roughly puts the veil on her head, "Pity comes too late, turn around and face your fate. An eternity of this before your eyes."
Rachel sighed and shook her head. She took a cloth off the a large mirror, "This haunted face holds no horror for me now," she sang, "It's in your soul, where the true distortion lies."
It was at this moment when Raoul and Adam reach the gate of the lair. Erik turns to them with a devilish smile, "Wait, I think my dear, we have guests."
