I have nothing but butterflies in my stomach, he was tall, probably had abs under the blue shirt he was wearing, and had dark hair, and did I mention those eyes? I mean seriously whose eyes are as bright as those? I need to know, I got lost in them along the way of our few-minute conversation. In times like these, I wish I wasn't shy, and that I radiated confidence like Becca or any normal woman on this planet. Instead, I'm awkward and shy, my voice is small compared to everyone else, I sighed and went back to unpacking the rest of my apartment, it was long overdue.

For the next few hours, I couldn't stop thinking about him so I decided to take a break from cleaning and had decided to watch something on Netflix. I grabbed my blankets and pillows from my room, made some popcorn, grabbed water from the fridge, and decided to catch up on American Horror Story. Around 9:30 someone knocked on my door, it's probably Becca, she might've forgotten her keys again, which is no surprise. I expected the date didn't go as well if she came back early, I opened the door and started to speak again when the same pair of blue eyes that hit me right in the face earlier was staring at me again.

"Um... Hi again." I said sounding confused and a bit bewildered, I mean I know I said if he needed anything but I didn't think it would mean seeing him the same day.

"Hi, Michelle, right? I was wondering if you knew the wifi password. They gave it to me with my contract and everything but I misplaced it and I don't know where it went."

"Um... yes I do, you can... come in for a few minutes, it's in my bedroom. Just sit on the couch or stand or whatever." Or whatever? Man, I am a terrible host, who knew some guy would be knocking on my door at 9:30 at night, while I'm in my pajamas, I'M IN MY PAJAMAS, my PENGUIN pajamas, that makes this even better. I am officially the lamest person I know. It's fine, I grabbed the paper and walked back out into the living room where he was sitting on my couch. At least he made himself comfortable, no help from me.

"You watch American Horror Story as well? What season are you on?"

"Well I'm on Cult but I've been slacking in my TV binge-watching mode, I decided to do it tonight because my roommate is on a date tonight, and I had nothing better to do." I just became even more lame, I'm sitting in on a Friday night when I should be out partying but instead, I'm inside watching TV in my pajamas and I just told the hottest guy I've ever seen I had nothing else better to do, the damage is already done, no turning back now.

"I get that, my roommates out tonight as well, I've just been unpacking boxes trying to remember what was his, and what was mine. Complete nightmare."

"I had heard that the first few days were awful finding different shirts, in different boxes, and just having all of her stuff and my stuff combined, but I didn't believe it until I had the experience myself. But um, if you're not doing anything you can stay and watch it with me until my roommate gets back." I don't know why I just said that it felt like word vomit, he's going today to say no, the rejection has already been placed in my brain.

"I don't want to impose on your pillow and blanket masterpiece." He said with a sly smile, kind of boyish and cute at the same time,  it's clear that he wants to stay and watch the show with me.

"It's not imposing if I invited you, however, I get the right side of the couch so you're going to have to sit on the left otherwise this is not going to work out." I don't know where this burst of new me came from. He popped his head back in mockery shock, with a sharp "Ah! I understand, well I'm going to do what I gotta do to watch AHS." He sat on his side of the couch and I sat on mine, we were quiet, but it wasn't awkward quiet, kind of comforting knowing someone was there, just in case Becca's crazy ex came busting down the door. I do have that fear now and then but quickly shove it to the back of my mind to focus on the show. The butterflies are still there, but better suppressed than what they were.

About two episodes in and comfortable silence as the show went on, I heard the jingle of keys on my door, and it was Becca, however, she wasn't alone. She had her arm enveloped in another guy's arm, and that sparked both of me and Hayes's interest. She was super bubbly and bouncy, just the way she always is. She says, "Hey Michelle! This is..." "Matt!" Hayes cuts in,

"Wait you know him?" I asked a little concerned considering I've never seen or met this person before, and Hayes just happens to know him.

"I feel like I should considering he is my roommate." All of the pieces of my puzzle fell into place after hearing the words drip from Hayes's mouth.
