"In ten years if you don't get married you will marry me, okay?" You said happily.
"Okay!" Tao said happily locking his pinky with yours.
[Ten years later]
"Tao-ah!" You searched throughout his whole house and found him laying on the floor drunk.
You cleaned him up and layed a blanket over him to sleep.
You got super scared when Tao texted you a simple goodbye causing you to run to his house.
As morning came Tao woke up with a painful headache. He looked beside him and found you sleeping soundly.
"Hmm... Tao you're awake! Are you hurt?" You cupped his face and searched for any pain. He smiled and shook his head 'no'
You sighed in relief and held his hands. "What happened?"
"S-she left me." He sniffled turning his head away.
"Tao it's okay.... You are an amazing man. Nothing will change that." You smiled at him reassuringly.
"No no no she was my life." He buried his face in his hands.
You felt a tightening feeling in your chest when he said that. You loved Tao so much but this love is one-sided.
You checked your watch and saw you needed to go to work. "Tao I need to go to work." You said. He nodded his head and turned his back from you.
You sighed loudly and walked out of his home.
[3 hours later]
Ding!
Your phone rang for an incoming text message.
You opened your phone and read it.
'Y/N goodbye. - Tao'
Your heart began to beat really fast you ran to his house and barged towards his room.
"TAO!" You ran towards him and shook him.
He had an open pack of pills and he was passed out on the floor.
You called the police and brought him to the hospital.
You were holding his hand tightly.
"I'm sorry ma'm but you have to leave the room." One of the nurses spoke.
You nodded your head and walked away.
After about 15 minutes one of the doctors walked out.
"Are you Y/N?" He asked.
You nodded your head.
"Tao overdosed on pills. it was an attempted suicide."
"M-may I see him?" You asked.
He opened the door to the room and let you in.
Tao was sitting up on the bed with a blank stare.
"Tao..." You spoke quietly.
He didn't look at you.
"Please stop hurting yourself." You whispered.
His eyes gazed on you before sighing loudly.
"I love her so much... why did she have leave me?" He sobbed.
You ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
"Shh.. It's okay." You spoke with tears in your eyes.
You began to sing Baby Don't Cry Tonight. you sang with a soft yet beautiful voice.
He stopped crying and and listened to your voice.
"Thank you Y/N." He said softly.
[Next Day]
Ding!
Your phone rang.
"Hello?" You asked.
"Y/N I need you." Tao cried on the other line.
You sped towards his house and saw him on the edge of his rooftop.
"T-Tao please get down from the there." You spoke with tears falling.
"N-no I can't leave without her Y/N." He cried out.
"PLEASE TAO STOP IT." You yelled out at him.
"No one loves me. Im alone. All the people I love leave." He whispered.
"I LOVE YOU TAO. Remember our promise? If you don't get married in 10years you will marry me? What happened to that?" You screamed.
"Y/N we were just kids back then. I was joking." He spoke.
Your heart stopped. your whole world began to fall just like your tears.
Suddenly another voice spoke.
"Tao! I'm back please come down baby!" A girl spoke.
"M-Minah?" Tao slowly got down and ran towards Minah.
"I love you so much Minah." he hugged her tightly.
"Me too." Minah spoke to him.
"Me too." You whispered to yourself still crying.
You watched them hug and kiss.
Tao had the biggest smile on his face.
You smiled faintly.
"Your smile makes me smile. If you are happy I am." You said in your head.
"I love you Tao and goodbye."
