•••••••••••••

Jongin wakes up to the city noises and the streams of light entering his room. He can feel the hard knots in his back as he takes each step out of bed. He takes a quick glance behind his back.
"Hyung, wake up. It's morning." He smiled and tapped onto Kyungsoo's shoulder. Kyungsoo mumbled soft words and pulled the blanket to his forehead.
"Eh~ Don't be lazy! Wake up!" Jongin chuckled and ripped the blankets away.
"Ah Jongin, I don't want to get up." He whined and flipped around on the bed.
"Suit yourself. You won't get any bacon." Jongin smiled mischeviously and left the room. Kyungsoo groaned and stepped out of bed. No one can resist bacon.
As he reached the kitchen, the aroma of breakfast filled the air throughout the house.
"Set up the table, Hyung." Jongin politely ordered as he focused on cooking.
Kyungsoo set up the table and sat waiting for Jongin. This was their life. It's actually not accurate to talk as if their lives are seperated. They were one, entangled together like vines on the trees. They worked as one and loved each other as one. Their relationship was also firm due to Kyungsoo's honesty. A single lie that leaves his lips causes him to hiccup vigorously until he tells the truth. That's why they have lasted three years of dating and one month engaged. They plan to connect together officialy after a year or so.
"Hyung, do you want sugar on your toast? Its okay if you don't want some, I know you're dieting." Jongin yelled through the kitchen.
"I don't want any." Kyungsoo then hiccuped.
"Ah, nevermind I want some." Kyungsoo hollered back.
Jongin entered the kitchen with a plate of bacon on his right hand and toast on the other.
"Bon appetit." Jongin smiled and laid the plates on the table. Kyungsoo dug in and let the toast melt in his mouth and the crisp of the bacon crunch between his teeth.
"Hyung, did you remember that I'm leaving tomorrow for London?" Jongin asked as he poked at his food. Kyungsoo looked down at his feet and nodded.
"Don't worry, we'll always Skype each other and call, right?" Jongin forced a smile.
"But that's one year, Jongin. One year of only seeing each other through a screen, not being able to kiss you, touch you. I can't bear that." Kyungsoo exasperated.
Jongin turned his head away and replied, "but I'll always think of you and never stop missing you."
Kyungsoo smiled faintly and squeezed Jongin's hand, "me too."

Next Morning

Jongin had stayed awake the whole night just taking in Kyungsoo with his eyes. His fingers lingered over his face as he brushed away the strands of hair.
"Hyung, Do you know how much I love you?....Imagine the size of Namsan Tower and Han River. It's bigger than that, actually it's incomparable. No matter how much land or sea is between us, I'll always love you." Jongin brushed his hand over his cheek, "I'll talk to you everyday and tell you stories about London. I'll even do a documentary just for you. There won't be a day when I don't miss you. Will you miss me? Do you love me?" Jongin whispered, but Kyungsoo stayed asleep, oblivious to Jongin's farewell.
Jongin left the house at 5:00 a.m. for his flight and left a goodbye note. As Kyungsoo awoke it was already 8:00. He noticed the empty spot beside him and felt a tear drop. The sense of emptiness hit him like train, creating a gap in his heart. He grabbed the note from the stand, it read "Goodbye Hyung! I'll call you when I land! Saranghaeyo ㅋㅋ." He took a breath and left the house for work.

Later

For four months Jongin has been putting his back into his business in London, hoping to expand it out of Korea. He had also kept close contact with Kyungsoo, but their hourly phone calls has soon turned into one in a week phone call. Not any sooner it would turn into monthly phone calls. Yet, Jongin continued to love and care for Kyungsoo, always making sure to bring him back British goods.
As to Kyungsoo, it was harder for him. A daily dose of alchohol is what has kept his mind occupied away from Jongin. It was only four months, but just that little of a time can change you. The only thing that saved Kyungsoo from his drinking addiction was this man named Chanyeol. He had met him in the bar during one of his gigs and instantly began talking with him. Chanyeol would bring Kyungsoo to the parks or restaurants just to try and fill the agape hole.
Jongin broke and bent his back daily just make sure once they get married that their life would be filled with luxury and peace. But Kyungsoo once again is oblivious to Jongin's actions. He continues to mope just awaiting for him to come back. He was his backbone and without his backbone, he'll fall.

Three Months Later

Jongin is now thriving in London and has become a nationally famous business man. Kyungsoo is more stable and has stopped his drinking habits and is now getting drunk off of Chanyeol. Night and day they were together. Chanyeol was slowly turning into the Jongin in Kyungsoo's life. There was, however, one moment as to when he wasn't with Chanyeol. Jongin had video called him after 2 months of silence.
"Hyung, how are you?" Jongin smiled as he adjusted the camera.
Kyungsoo smiled, "Im normal."
Jongin chuckled at his answer.
"I miss you a lot. You have no idea how hard it is when every thing I look at reminds me of you." He sighed aloud, "I love you so much."
Kyungsoo felt a tightening feeling in his chest. Jongin waited for the "I love you" back, but it never came.
"Jongin, keep safe. I know you're sleepy. Goodnight." Kyungsoo ended the video call to a teary-eyed Jongin.
Kyungsoo shut the laptop off and ran towards the bedroom. He wrapped his arms around his chest and cried. He cried out his anger, love, and pain for Jongin. He cried until there was nothing left except for dry sniffles and eyes. This love was no longer mutual, but one sided.

Five Months Later

This was the week. The week as to when Jongin will come back from London and then three days later will get married to his beloved. Kyungsoo paced in the airport nervously. He had already ended things with Chanyeol and decided to keep himself alone. Jongin noticed the narrow-shouldered, doe-eyed boy and ran towards him. Kyungsoo had become thinner with a bit more sunken eyes and paler skin. Jongin now had a lean, muscular body and sharper face. Their change physically was significant, but their change emotionally was just as big.
"Hyung! I've missed you so much!" Jongin threw his arms around Kyungsoo's body. Kyungsoo smiled faintly and patted his back.
"Me too." Kyungsoo truly did miss Jongin.
"Let's go home." Jongin gripped Kyungsoo hand, but Kyungsoo pulled away.
"Yea, lets go home."
Jongin brushed away his confusion and walked beside Kyungsoo towards the car. As they reached their home Jongin immediately ran towards the front door and unlocked it with his spare key. The house did not have the same homely feeling. It was more like stale bread left in the oven instead of newly baked pastry. He waited at the doorway for Kyungsoo and locked arms with him.
"I'm finally back. I am ready to get married and enjoy the rest of my life. You ready?" Jongin asked.
Kyungsoo turned his head towards the kitchen, "you're hungry lets eat."
Jongin shrugged it away again and strolled towards the kitchen.
"I'm sorry." Kyungsoo mumbled.
"Hm? What did you say?" Jongin turned towards Kyungsoo.
"I'm sorry." Kyungsoo hung his head low.
"What for?" Jongin answered more gently.
Kyungsoo shook his head, "uh just something."
Jongin noticed he wanted to ignore the topic and smiled quickly.
"It's okay, just as long as we're together."

Day Of The Wedding

Jongin waited at the altar and paced around nervously for his soon to wedded husband. They had waited many years for this one day to come and it had finally come. Kyungsoo entered through the doors alone as the guests turned their heads towards him. He wore a black and white suit with a purple bowtie with his hair slicked back with gel. In Jongin's eyes, he was purely handsome. Kyungsoo reached the altar and held hands with Jongin. Jongin smiled lovingly towards Kyungsoo and looked back towards the priest.
"Everyone please rise for these two lovers soon to be connected forever." The priest waited for all to stand.
"Do you, Kim Jongin, promise to always love and care for Kyungsoo for life and continue to love him through old age? And do you promise to always be with him through hardships and happiness in life?" Jongin turned towards Kyungsoo, "I do."
"Do you, Do Kyungsoo, promise to always love and care for Jongin for life and continue to love him through old age? And do you promise to always be with him through hardships and happiness in life?"
Kyungsoo shut his eyes tightly gripped onto Jongin's hands. Kyungsoo loved Jongin and is not sure of he still does. In the beginning, they were one, entangled together like vines on the trees. They worked as one and loved each other as one. Their relationship was also firm due to Kyungsoo's honesty. But it was; were, worked, and was. It was spoke in past tense and not shown to be now. Kyungsoo's love had already ended long ago.
He turned his head towards Jongin.
"I do." and then he hiccuped.
